The Algerian international Rafik Djebbour has not yet found a way favorable to his situation. Under contract with AEK Athens, Djebbour trains recently at Celtic where he has a profitable contract. But since he can not begin to play with Glasgow before the winter transfer window and has important deadlines with the national team, the Algerian is in a deadlock.
got this off an algerian site. see where it says he has a profitable contract at celtic but cant play till january.

heres a bit more i found its algerie 360
Djebbour officer recalled that the Algerian player is about to sign with Celtic. "Djebbour trained with Celtic since Saturday and I just supply Scottish Executive to sign the contract," he said definitively rejecting the idea of Djebbour new under the colors of AEK. Mr. Ayad, also told Sky Sports that he has already had a discussion with the sporting director of Celtic which he reported on the financial claims of the player.
the top paragraph is from a few days ago the second is from the beginning of the month.

their pretty much sayin he was about to sign for us but not play till january just stay an train, but aek athens pulled him back to greece to * up the deal.
his agent says he had personal financial talks with the celtic exec. possibly lawall, but that seems to be all, because aek pulled him back pronto.
strange though the way it says he has a profitable contract at celtic, but i suppose a lot of these things get lost in translation.

Looked him up on wiki there, he hasn't got a great strike rate to be honest!

And in leagues on a par with the SPL!

I was referring to the French second division, where his strike rate was poor but yeah I'll not argue about that!

dont think anyone can say the spl is not *. people say without celtic and rangers it would be, i think even with them, it is terrible. anyway this guy wont sign now i dont think. he's down at blackburn on trial for a week, an after that he'll be off somewhere else for a week, probly hull lol. anyway eventually he's gonna have a good week with someone, and there gonna offer him some crazy wage and signin on fee, so game over id say. next striker rumour please., not robbie keane either. we gotta get someone in thats young, under 23 or 24, pacey ana good finisher, they dont have to be tall, but well enough built to hold off some of the mulligers who play center half in the spl. theres loads of em about just get some scouts off to czech republic, croatia, slovenia, an the likes , were bound to come up with one by january, wont cost much more than a million, and wages cant be crazy either, especially if comin from one of those countries.

it all depends what kinda person he is, he will either think, play in the premiership best league in the world for a low team, or win medals at celtic and play in europe, possibly champions league next year, i think we still have a chance of gettin him.

as for the spl being *, yes its not a great league, but its better than 2nd div france lol, the top 5 in spl wud be comfortable in div 1 france, they wudnt be near the top or anything, but they wudnt get relegated

yeah ok, but the thing is i dont think the likes of algerians give a * about winning scottish league or scottish cup medels. they'd rather an xtra 5-10 k a week. in most cases unfortunatly.

It's not just Algerians, fs. Let's face it, players like McGeady who actually love the club they play for are few and far between.

Theres Giggs, Scholes (and at that it wouldn't be hard to stay at World class club all that time) Dunn, but even he left Blackburn, McManus, I'm starting to struggle now!

I could rattle off hundreds of mercenaries that just played for Celtic in the last decade! And at that they weren't all Algerian!
