Cant see it prem clubs want him and would be willing to spend arouns 3/4 mill on him so why would we get him for as little as 1,5 ,

apparently sheffield utd rate him at £4mill but celtic are lining up a 1.5 mil move because he is out of contract in the summer and rejected a new contract

I watched quite a few Sheffield United games last year and Kilgallon would be an outstanding signing, and 1.5 mill for him would be a dream price. He is fast, physical and good in the air and can also be a threat at set pieces. Would link up great with Loovens or hopefully O' Dea.

think everyone should remember that loovens was a 3 million centre half from the championship when he came and everyone was getting exited, look how that turned out. i seriously dont think we should be looking to the lower divisions of england, the quality of strikers in the championship are absolutely diabolical tbh

I wasn’t under the impression that every player from the championship is exactly the same.

Most folk still don’t seem to understand that the lower leagues of England is where Celtic can afford to look along with the likes of the French lower leagues. Unfortunately due to the EPL and La Liga etc transfer fees have just become diabolical now and in no way can we compete.

i no all that mate, im just thinking that i would rather be looking to france or spanish lower leagues. in those countries the financial difference between the top leagues and the lower leagues isnt as big as it is in england therefore the lower leagues have slightly more quality

I do agree with you there . There is a lot of talent in the lower league of spain etc.

Just need to wait and see what TM doesn but 2 new Centre Backs are Priority.

The criteria for a new CB

    Pace

    Good positioning/reading of the game

6ft 3+ - CBs barely touching 6ft or just over are just not dominant in the air usually

    Good tackler

    Sane temperament

If a player meets those criteria then 4 or 5 million on fees and 25 grand a week would be money well spent

Kilgallon is the man for the job, my biggest worry is we try and pre contract him for the summer instead of bringing him in now when he's required.

I agree with Hammer..Kilgallon is a real talent and if we do bring him in then we need to bring him in ASAP.

    Cannavaro - 5'9
    Puyol - 5'10
    Roberto Ayala - 5'9
    Baresi - 5'9

    - All world class centre backs

    Bobo Balde - 6'4" (diameter)

    - Useless big eejit

    I rest my case...

this 1 seems to be a realistic aproach ,but if it comes down to wages and we are up against teams in england it becomes hard to get value for money.

Why does the Bigman get such a hard time. The guy under MON was great and gave everything for the club. I would have a fit pre malaria Bobo than all 4 numpties we have at the back (3 centre backs and O'Dea).

Don't understand why O'Dea is rated, sent on loan for a reason.
