Sky Sports | Football | Scottish Premier | News | McInnes doubts Old Firm class

There you have it kids.....no longer are we feared in the SPL. No more do we blind our opponents with our class...

Teams now have no fear to come and have a go.

Are we no longer stepping up to the plate? Is the team still relying on that fear factor?

Time for the players to step up and dig in......it's gonna be a long season.

the old firm havent been feared for the last few seasons. Its nothing new just shows you how much the standard has dropped.

Well hopefully some teams will have a go and not just play with everyone behind the ball as it would help us improve and make the games more exciting.

The standards of Scottish football have fallen across the board, it's up to us to ensure we are the best we possibly can be it shouldn't matter if teams have a go at us or not we should be able to play our game and win.

i think the only way we'd become feared is if we stopped conceding early goals/daft goals and started hammering a few goals of our own past the other team

however with mick loovens caldwell samaras fortune killen mcdonald

    doesn't sound promising does it?

That's rather amusing coming from the manager of a team we pumped 5 goals past only a few weeks ago. :bbpd:

The SPL has been getting weaker since the great leaders of the Scottish Game tried to hard ball Sky over a TV deal. When other leagues were getting bumper contracts, the SPL was going around with their hat in their hand to BBC & RTE looking for spare change. The SPL has taken another blow in Setanta going * up.

The media exposure and money earned around Y2K allowed Celtic & Rangers to compete with the top leagues for quality players but now we cant and it shows.

i think we should in a way show a lot less respect to the spl teams and go out as if its easy and go out to win every game 5-0.

I don't mean like doss through the game but keep the engines on the whole time and try hard and kill the games off early sorta.....

I don't think we like to admit it but we have been getting weaker as have the Huns over the years, and the rest of the SPL have been catching up consequently.

Let's face it if you were an opposing forward would you fancy your chances agains the Chuckle Brothers :icon_mrgreen:

Until Celtic and Rangers have names like Larsson, Laudrup, Sutton, Gazza et al then there's no reason for any SPL to fear us. Both Old Firm teams are full of good to very good players, but nothing more.

Any SPL team could take point off us on a good day, home or away.
