dont play him in the huns game, we need to sell McManus and/or Caldwell over summer, keep Loovens, call back O'Dea from loan, get rid of Kennedy and put Thomson out on loan and buy one or 2 centre backs

Yea, except TM doesn't think he's good enough or he'd play him already. You shot your own argument in the foot there.

Caldwells contract is up at the end of the year so we're either selling him for peanuts in January or he's off for free.

Ha ha haaa the chuckle bros! Good one. I can't stand watching heid & Mick play together, its as if they're trying to outdo each other with * ups. Get Loovens back for sunday, a no-nonsense defender who can read a forwards movements. As for Thomson sunday might be a bit too early, if the lads any good get him playing first team football & drop these two to the bench.

Two managers now have felt Caldwell, McManus and Loovens are our best 3 and think O'Dea is 4th or 5th choice and needed loaning-out. That tell you O'Dea is not as good as them. Whatever some fans think, O'Dea has clearly been thought by WGS and Mowbray to not be as good as the other 3 (4 when Kennedy was fit).

I'd test the boy first in one of the upcoming bounce matches to get a look at him first i think.

But i would love to see new faces in the Celtic team!

i agree too many of our current so called superstars think they better than what they are , they need knocking down a peg or 2 , we gettig beat with them in the team anyway so would it make any difference if we get beat with new blood in the team , get the new boys in and letus see what they got .

I don't think that is quite accurate mate. Strachan had it in for Darren O'Dea because he used to go out clubbing with Aiden to Karbons, and Wee Ginger Baws was a man who liked to hold a grudge.

It was the SSM who stopped O'Dea going out on loan last year despite Strachan's vindictiveness.

O'Dea is clearly a better player that Heid and Hoof, and I would imagine Caldwell will be punted in the January transfer window, and Darren will be back up the road where he belongs.

C'mon mate, your argument begins to lose all credence when you disregard Gunt's cold hard facts and offer some spurious rumour mill material that's been going for years but never ever been seen fit to print or addressed in any serious manner, even by the tabliods.

I also would love Darren back (in place of Caldwell) but the manager(s) of our club don't share your opinion and, as the esteemed leaders of our beloved club, with long and illustrious careers in the game, their opinions could maybe just be a tiny bit more valid than a rumour monger on a football forum, trying to prove a point.

    Don't you think? :celt_2:

O'Dea is not a good CB, I have no idea why he has some sort of status as a legendary CB despite almost no first team experience. When he has play he has been slow, reads the game poorly, cannot see a pass and cant win a ball in the air.

If he was as good as folk on here say he is he would have been in the first team and not loaned out.

And why did McGeady play when available if that was such a problem?

Probably is unlikely but the only reason I can see is that he wouldnt get away with dropping mcgeady, the outcry when he was dropped for ibr*x was unbelieveable.

The outcry may or may not have been unbelievable but remember Strachan was proved right.
