I don't know why Caldwell was brought back tonight but I thought it was dreadfully unfair on Glenn Loovens to be dropped. He was one of our best players at the weekend. :38:

That was odd... Dropping Loovens, who has been our most consistant defender thus far this season, and re-uniting Heid and Mick, who haven't played CB together for months, meant the loss of understanding, which lead to the goal.

There was also a penalty claim, but from where I was sitting couldn't really tell, and far too often there was aimless long balls. Then there is the fact he has hardly been in any kind of form at all thus far.

Thats just from his performance on the pitch. Caldwell's antics off it, such as the prolonged contract talks and the mobile phone incident. is indicative of a player not focused at the task at hand. He should've been left on the bench.

cud quote most of these, hes a *, punted hopeless balls to the opposition, didnt assert himself in any tackles, hardly one a header against there striker, worst player on the park by a country mile, doesnt want to play cos hes gettin a big heid (no pun intended), id tell anyone who holds the club for money to go * themself, big mick played well, no idea how loovens our most consistent defender was dropped, odea is needed back as backup, although young he doesnt make mistakes, caldwell makes them by the thousand, lucky he never scored an own goal tonight i suppose

Should have been Loovens and Mick but saying that Mick ain't much better,Caldwell was terrible last night often caught in possession and why cant he just make a simple pass rather than hitting it 20 yards up the pitch that came to nothing.

Caldwell is a clown, always has been in my eyes. He believes he is gods gift when in fact hes more the dogs gift.

He makes too many mistakes for me and thinks he is as good as david beckham with those long distance passes.

Mogga was a fool to drop loovens last night, he has had a great start to the season. cmilkbhoy your right bring o'dea back. Cracking defender that doesnt make too many individual errors unlike caldwell.

    Big Mick is finished aswell.

Caldwell was ok overall last night I thought. But I was very surprised to see him in the lineup. Unless Loovens picked up an injury I cannot see why he didn't start. Hopefully Loovens will be back in the lineup come Sunday against the huns.
