    McDonald has 6 goals mate.

McDonald or Fortune? I'd choose Samaras.

Seems to be pretty 50-50 on both players. Love for us to get a new Striker in Jan. A big target man as the main striker. Who would you want up front supporting? Fortune for me. I think this is McDonalds last season in the hoops. He's supposed to be our main striker and goal scorer, but he's too slow, his 1st touch is murder and he's too lazy. He doesn't deserve to wear the number 7 shirt. I say punt him in Jan. £3m deal done!!!

    Samaras.
Out of those 2 though Skippy.
Sammi is the best of the 3 on his own but works well with Skippy beside him when he isnt being given out to for the slightest wrong pass.

    Hmmmm hard call????

Fortune - big, strong, quick, looks good on the ball, creates space n chances for team mates & without a doubt one of most important players in Mowbrays system (just look how poor our football n creating chances has been since he got injured........it's not a coincidence)

    OR

mcdonought - fat, slow, lazy, greeting faced and has without a doubt the 2nd worst 1st touch iv ever seen a Celtic striker have (killen is 1st)

for me not even a debate.

Fatty will be off in January. There is no way mogga can play fast, slick, exciting, attacking football with the Easter egg with boots up front.

Our striking force is awful at the moment. We need new strikers asap and getting rid of Skippy, Killen and Samaras if possible. I'm not rioting here or anything like that, but none of our strikers has been effective so far and I don't think it'll get better. I don't think we should just sell them, but sign replacements. I'm sure some EPL or Champ team would give few millions for Skippy and Samaras may be wanted by Greek teams, English and Dutch sides. As for Killen, don't know who would sign him, probably some League 1 team.

But, as I always say, we must manage to achieve as much as possible with current squad. From all our strikers, I'd keep only Fortun'e and find a proper striker who he can be paired with him.

McDonald, as Fortune from what I've seen (not heard*) is pish.
    * he's suposedly a link up player etc but so far his link up has been poor his running - poor his passing - poor and his shooting is worse than gary caldwells.

find it hard to agree with anything in this post.
McDonald has prob scored more headers since he's signed for celtic than fortune has scored ever

Not a bad finisher in the SPL who has scored against AC Milan Man Utd Dynamo Moscow and spartak Moscow.
The premiership is a different league all together with different attributes being key to sucess. Players make it in the prem that we wouldn't want NEAR Celtic park and there are players here that wouldn't make good players in the Premiership.
Skippy scored 40 odd goals in 100 games for motherwell clearly not only because he plays for celtic.
McDonald's Attitude is one where he wants to play, score and win. That's exactly what I want from a striker.
I can't see why anyone would logically pick Fortune over McDonald. People that do , are NOT picking him because they genuinely think he's better... They just don't like skippy.
only exception to this would be with a 1 up front formation which would make sense, though tbh, based on what I've seen, I'd rather have samaras.
Mowbray didn't pick Fortune for our biggest game of the season, the qualifier for the CL v Arsenal... that tells a story.

Having watched Fortune, he spends far too much timr out wide for my liking when he should be in the box. Away from home v Moscow is a good example of this.

Well to be honest atm if you look at goals alone then its skippy BUT on all round game and playing as part of a team then its fortune or anyone else thats not skippy . One thing i will add is that last season if you watched he was worse especialy with sammy but this year he seems to have had words because i see a marked change in his attitude and i believe thats partly down to the fact he feels tm doesnt rate him as highly as wgs did and i think he is right
