mogga was totally justified; it was a good result and some fine goals but some performances left a lot to be desired, for example what has happened to Scott Brown? ive already said on another thread that if he's carrying an injury dont play him but if he isnt then he has no excuse for his bad form of lat. also the front two in killen and mcdonald had stinkers they both seem incapable of taking a first touch which doesnt lead to a tackle! i will say loovens looked commanding at the back and mick wasnt bad either....i hope heid was watching!!!!

also i think its some pretty smart mind games from mogga; this is a huge week for us with two massive games and we cant have the players going into it thinking they have done enough because they beat a limited st mirren team not to mention scraped a win v hearts. we can play better and i think the players will be under no illusions this week about what mowbray expects!

its better than listening to wgs saying he was delighted with the effort after lucky home draws to aberdeen and utd last season when we were * atleast he is honest with the fans and players.

i agree with TM when he says the players are capable of more he sees them day in day out at training he knows guys like brown from his time at hibs and wants to see their best not a half decent effort but the best they can produce and at the minute guys like mcdonald brown samaras maloney caldwell and others when included arent giving that level of performance so they deserve to be told this.

i think his comments were in mind of our next 2 games.
if we play to that standard i think he could be proved right.

Mowbray is bang in his views on the recent performances. I would prefer him to criticise rather than pretend everythings alright - like Strachan.

I totally agree with the manager. It was in my thougts befors the interview. Whether its mind games or not its refreshing! As the big man said 'No one is bigger than the team'

Brown was invisible, Paddy looks slow but gr8 touches, Ngeomo solid, McGinn one for the future, Loovens solid, Fox not his best but still better than Naylor, Hinkel get forward, McDonald needs to bang them in, Killen get rid.

We are 4 points clear and Sunday will be a cracker! I can see us truly taking all 3 points even with the poor performances so far. Just look at the Castle greyskull results..... LOL.

    The tide will change..

    Keep the faith.

    Hail Hail

i think its great that he does this, after everygame last year wgs would say "we played great football, great football" when we clearly didn't. At celtic you expect a certain standard of play Mogga knows this and wants us to deliver it and if we don't it's good he lets them know that:50:

thats the philosophy TM is going by i believe:86:

TM is getting more convincing by the week. These players need to be told that they're not as good as they think they are. As for Brooney.........is it just me or does he always try to get himself excluded from OF games? I have the sick feeling that everytime we play before an OF game he gets a bit OTT on the pitch. I may be wrong but I'm sure he's missed a few through suspension, being dropped etc.

In general I think he has the potential to be a great player........he just needs to learn to pass a ball  Somethings definitely up with him at the moment.......is he carrying an injury? or perhaps it's the first anniversary of his sisters death. Either way we're not seeing a 6 or 7 million player :54:

he was badly missed at the olast OF game last season, we had noone to run behond the striker, dunno if the Zhi will do it, but we need someone and he is th eonly one he gives us energy and power in midfield

All celtic players should be giving 110% if Mowbary thinks there not giving that then he has every right to be critical.

    He's striving for perfection!

I'm a firm believer that Mogga's going to bring back football played the Celtic Way

I think he is right to be disatisfied. After a good first few games we have not been playing good stuff at all. He also went through a dodgy period in terms of results with 3 CL defeats, a Europa defeat and a league draw too. I think we were only a minute away against Hearts from full scale Mowbray must go threads here. I also thought we didnt look great v St. Mirren and what they showed is that Mowbray has the same problems against seriously defensive set ups as we had before. I think Mowbray looked really niave in Europe and 4 defeats in 5 games is a huge step backwards and the worst European run we have had in a very long time.

So I would be a lot more worried if Mowbray was happy. He really shouldnt be. The league position does gloss over a number of issues. After a bright start, we have looked a lot less clever in the last month. The Old Firm game will be very important. Other than Dynamo away, I have not been convinced that Mowbrays set up works against the better teams. We might get away with it though. Rangers are surpassing themselves in crapness right now. They even look a shadow of the last couple of seasons when I think they were a lot more effective (UEFA fina;, taking league to last day twice) than they are given credit for.
