Morning lads, or should I say evening..

I'm a scottish Celtic support living in New Zealand who doesn't get to watch many of the SPL games. (due to sky not showing it here) How is Chris Killen doing? My fellow football fans here saw that he scored on the weekend. What is your opinion on him

As some of you may know, football in NZ is beginning to take off with the third season of it's only pro club the Wellington Phoenix in flight. Take was Killen would go to the Phoenix this season on loan but he rejected the contract offer.

We have the world cup qualifier against Bahrian in October/Novemeber so hoepfully the egg shaped ball that is rugby is on it's fall.

Anyway let me know how Killen is doing. Plenty of ex scots out playing football in Aus/NZ like Charlie Millar, Craig Moore, Grant Brebner, Bob Malcom etc (mostly ex rangers i know! :S) and ex Bhoy Michael Mcglincy.

    Thanks Bhoys.

Sunday's goal was his first competitively for 23 months

He's hardly been given a chance but I don't rate him highly, sorry

Mcglinchey is ripping up the Aleague for the Central Coast Mariners and just won his first cap for NZ. Seems like a quality player @ a-league level.

    Disappointing about Killen.

    Welcome aboard.:50:

Killen definitely saved our arses along with Loovens on Sunday. He didn't play much in competitive games, but he scored in pre-season. I think he'll be featuring more in future due to our lack of strikers, so you'll see more of your fellow Kiwi.:50:

Since that was killens first start for celtic in years i would not worry about how many goals he has got for the club
imo if you play killen he will get you goals , just dont expect much else from him .

I think Chris Killen is pretty cumbersome with the ball at his feet. His technique and skill level aren't very high either.

However he is good at winning headers and capable of scoring goals if a team is getting lots of crosses into the box for him. Since Celtic only have 2 fit strikers at the moment I would keep him in the team in the short term.

Killen is a donkey from the land of sheep. Please take him back. I would rather have Jonah Lomu playing up front for us. I actually feel embarrased that Killen plays for us, his performance the other day (minus his goal) was shocking. Still though, New Zealand, cracking country, cracking people, crap footballers ;)

I like Killer Killen Scottishbhoy :50:

He is a big bruiser who is going to batter a lot of defences this year. The guy can leap like a salmon and has a bullet header. Give him some more match practice and I think the Kiwi will end up our top scorer this year

Personally I think he is up there as one of the worst strikers I've ever seen at Parkhead. Short term option to our problems, I hope to * he can prove me wrong though. He is so clumsy at times though that I doubt he will.

    Welcome though mate :50:

I'm a Killen fan, provide the crosses and he will get the goals.

A good old fashioned centre forward.

If he can get a decent run of games i think he will do well :50:
