    Hello from Croatia:bbpd:

Me and my two friends are going to come to Glasgow 1.1.2010. We are planning to stay several days. Of course we are planning to go to the Old Firm, but as we have asked the ticket office, they have said that the tickets are going only inn that 5 card package. Is there any other possibility to buy tickets?

Also, if you can, can you suggest us few hotels in Glasgow and some other fun places (we are interested in beer:icon_mrgreen:), we will be very thankful.

    Bye:bbpd:

Mate it will be hard for you to get a ticket for this game. And of course Hagies bar will be the best place for a beer before and after the game we will have live bands in singing celtic music.:50:

Tickets for that game will be hard to come by mate.

Here's the website that I use when booking hotels

Booking.com: 70 hotels in Glasgow, United Kingdom. Book your hotel now!

But as New Year is a major holiday in Scotland the hotels might be quite busy and therefore a bit more expensive.

As for pubs, clubs and restaurants there is something for everyone and every budget, just remember that most city centre pubs won't allow you in if you are wearing football colours unless it's a Celtic pub (loads of these in the Gallowgate area of Glasgow)

Thanks for your comments. We still have some problemes with the planes and flights, because it's very difficult to find the direct flight from Zagreb to Glasgow, unless it is an expensive flight. It is very likely that we'll come with the train, it takes us 36 h but we would really like to see Scotland and Glasgow so I hope that we'll come.

Once again, thanks for the help

Alright pal. I was in Croatia in the Summer, great country. Zagreb, Split, Korcula, Dubrovnik - love it!

Anyway, tickets for Celtic vs Rangers will be very hard to come by. You can stay at Euro Hostel for as little as £11 a night, it's not very luxurious but good enough and includes a free all-you-can-eat breakfast. With regards to a match ticket, if you ask around in the pubs on the Gallowgate before the match, you might get lucky.

    Hail hail
