Is that a money back guarantee? because i've seen nothing of this supposed £10M+ player so many people seem to be going on about.

i agree it's no use playing him when he's not fit and i dont think Brown is hiding anything but i was just thinking about last season when Gordon Strachan with some justification ripped into Mick for being "too brave for his own good" by saying he's fit when he clearly wasnt; i'm thinking Brown is probably of the same ilk and is just a guy who wants to play every week!

though i think generally his form has been poor with or without injury and i certainly dont want the "he's carrying an injury" mantra to become fact! be that as it may hopefully brooney will improve after a night on the bench tonight!

You are allowed to have an opinion on him without being 'on his back'. I want the best for Celtic and at this moment in time that would be a midfield without him because he is providing very little. Even his normal tenacity isn't there and when that goes he provides, literally, nothing.

i dont believe hes a 10 million player either. dropping him isn't the answer though. he was brilliant for scotland & if he can recreate tht sort of performances for celtic weel be laughing. people are saying hes not playing well this season. weve hardly started the season!

    Most of the team?

To my mind, Caldwell and Brown are in crap form and Tuesday night apart, the rest of the team are playing pretty well, being top of the league and having won every league game but one.

Aiden and Shaun are flying down the wings and have both found the net a couple of times already and Samaras, Fortune, Killen and Skippy have all been on the scoresheet.

What is it Brown gives us that other midfileders cant? Multiple bookings?

It certainly isn't creativity or goals.

No one is undroppable mate and like it or lump it, he's playing *. Seems to me your just trumpet-blowing with very little substance to you post.

I think people need to see Brown for what he is. An incredibly dynamic, gallus and mobile BALL WINNER who also has a bit of skill and ability to do the odd box to box run. He never was, even for Hibs, a high scorer or a play maker. I actually think he should be paired with Robson and forget nGuemo and Crosas. His current form is not great but he is injured and that is a fact.

    Agreed :50:
Pair Brown with Robson. They are made for each other

And yes get off Brown's back as he is the back bone of our team

I agree a pairing of Robson and Brown should be tested, but not just now when neither player will be a 100% match fit.

The N'Guemo and Robson partnership should also be tested, and seeing if Crosas fits in as just now we don't know what our best CM pairing is.

no offense but what is the obsession with Robson, you want to build the team around Brown and N'Guemo not someone who might retire at the end of the season or be moved on. Its also a shame that Crosas is rotting on the bench as he has the range of passing that could really cause havoc to the opposition, he just needs to get stuck in more and build up some more strength:boxing:

Lol get rid of a 3.8m guy whos played quite well and the team has suffered without but Keep playing Broony whos 4.4m and we play worse when he's in the team.

Look at Donati when next to Brown, he couldnt find a pass.
Hartley suffered when next to Brown and thrived with Robson.
Crosas played well with Robson but is lost with Brown
Nguemo has slumped since Massimo has left and he's next to Brown.

Its clear that Broony isnt a great centre mid and in the recent Scotland game he was on the right when he played better.

He may fit into a 3 man midfield a bit better, I think he has talent but lack intellegence.

scott brown can be a good midfielder on his day but how often is he on his day. He may be the best CMid at the club but that is a position which i still believe we are not strong enough in. Brown as a players is extreamly dissapointing. He has still to live up to his 4and a half mill fee.
1 What does he offer celtic as a footballer?
2 Why can he only complete a 5 yard pass 50% of the time?
3 He has still not shown much end product he looks lost as he runs into the penalty box.
4 Another reason Brown is not effective in europe is he may be extreamly fit but many continental players can pass a ball round him with ease. And with his lack of control and poor passing he often looks out of depth against good opposition.

I sometimes think brown looks like a EPL CMid but there are other times he looks like he should be playing in the Second Div. Brown has to prove himself as a player.
if not i would quite happily let scott brown go. I think "Brown is young and has great engine" are the most said statement in a celtic fans vocab. he is 24(not that young for that age he should be showing a lot more) and for the great engine(i would much rather it wasnt that great and he had more technicall ability.)
i still think we bought the wrong player i think thomson is a better player than brown and would have made a bigger impresion on celtic than brown has
