If I'm correct Celtic were originally going to be named Glasgow Hibernian.
As for the badge, I'm not to fussed as long as it green and belongs to Celtic.

 

Cause, in the song 'Four Leaf Clover', we can't leave behind one of the Brother Walfrid, Jock Stein, We the Celtic Fan, and Our Children.. lol

the original celtic emblem was the "celtic cross" which appeared most prominetly upon the jersey of the centenary team (1988) also if i am not mistaken it is on the neck (at the back) of most of the recent jersey's
however why it was changed i do not know

 

didnt know i was in a ratings war ,and i was only asking if G-L-A-S-G-O-W celtic where forced to change the badge ? please enlighten me as to your wisdom as i am obviously a MORON !

 

thanks for the info mate and the celtic cross badge is a cool badge , trawled the net for past tic badges but only found the present one ,the centenery one and the 1958 one ,but thanks again for the info
