    He should be signed up, to suggest he's over-rated when a vast number of fans turn on him after a couple of poor performances is laughable.

    You really need to give up the whole case for Balde carry on mate, Caldwell has done more for Celtic than Bobo Balde ever did, for a fraction of the price and with leadership and humility.

    As for the humility. They are 50-50. Give me the money or I walk. No difference.

    Caldwell couldn't put a shine on any of their boots.

    Bullshit, based on last season he is as good as any centre half we've had this past decade or so. Caldwell can actually play football, Bobo Balde was a bombscare battering ram, a muscular version of Stephen McManus.

    I would have to agree with the 99% of people who speak the truth.

    Caldwell is:

    Cumbersome

    Rash in the tackle

    Beleives his own internal hype

    Poor in the air

    Plays passes that simply aren't on

    Gives away silly fouls in dangerous positions

    Makes basic errors that cost points

    * up Scotland's campaign practically on his own vs Norway

    Spoke about his contract situation before an important game

    to old to learn and correct any of the above.

    In short, * off Gary caldwell. :shamrock:

    FFS, it really * me off when people say that Caldwell is *:31:.

    HE IS THE BEST CENTRE HALF IN THE SPL.

    * *, seriously. He got SPL player of the year last season. Just because he has had a slightly shakey start to the season. He is such a good player who is versatile. He can play at centre back, right back, defensive mid and centre mid. Why the * would you want to let him go. He's asking for a bigger salary because his contract is running out and he is one of our best players, hence the reason he got player of the year last season - he is the best player in the league, therefore, must be our best player, and if he's getting the average team wage then that just doesnt make sense. Think of it from Gary Caldwell's perspetive. * sake.:31:

    Totally agree, just because of shaky start to the season some fans seem to be using him as a bit of a scapegoat, his versatility could be crucial come the run in next year or with injuries or suspensions which is why i say he'd be worth the extra few quid.
