    According to the News of the World, Motherwell fans at Pittodrie yesterday gave constant abuse to Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee with chants of "Paedophile" and "* *"

    Some of the stuff coming from these supporters (Motherwell) over the years has been shocking, but it will be interesting to see where this goes.

    Sounds like he's trying to defend the abuse coming from the fans. No matter what the reason is for a manager leaving he doesnt deserve that sort of *.

    Teams like Rangers and Hearts come away with this sort of stuff every week and get nothing so i dont see much happening to Motherwell.

    Those comments from Reynolds are a disgrace. It's one thing to stick up for your own fans, but to say a manager should expect what McGhee took yesterday is shocking.

    When put on the spot ,people seem to be otherwise deaf ,blind ,and so on ,thats out of order what happened there and Reynolds had no right defending there fans in that manner.

    Disgraceful yes, but doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Remember Motherwell fans at "the fence" at Fir Park in the mid '80's belting out "The Sash, The Billy Boys, Derry's Walls, etc...!!"
    Most of the guys who ran with the MFC-SS were actually Rangers fans.
    Times may change, but the Motherwell support remains the same - SCUMBAGS!!!

    Just had a look on their forum and their general opinion is "yeah, it was bad... but why does the media care? Worse stuff happens in Europe." What a juvenile attitude.

    You show a complete lack of understanding of the Scottish Loyalist psyche.
    Since you have never encountered Orange bigotry you do not understand how these people think. They do not care what they call Catholics as they look on them as being totally inferior.
    The Scots composer James MacMilan used the term "Scotland's Shame" not to describe the fans of Rangers FC, but to describe anti-Catholic bigotry in Scotland.
    It's not "juvenile" mate, it's simply Scottish sectarianism at it's worst.

    That's not unique to Scotland, I've experienced that kind of attitude towards immigrants here in the US.
