He has played well in the last few weeks but dont forget he played well early in his first season for WGS too and he also had a purple patch in Feb/March last in 3 in a row when he was our best player for weeks. The problem with him is he is incosistent and I think he was suspect defensively which is a problem for a midfielder who is not an attacking mobile one. His mentality seemed suspect. Its a shame he is going when he is on one of his good form patches but I still dont think he would have kept it up in winter in grim away SPL games etc. I think that means nGuemo and Broony first picks with Crosas pushing nGeumo and I suppose Robson pushing Broony. I am also a huge fan of Ferry and think he could push through to making a few appearances this season. Him going frees up a couple of million in fees and also a couple of million in wages tied up in his contract. I dont think its total panic stations to bring in a new CM and it we do its should be an attack minded one.

If bringing in a couple of million in fees and removing a similar amount off the wage bill means we do not have to sell anyone else then that is good buisiness. I would be gutted if we sold Artur, Hinkel, Heid, Broony, Aidan or any of the other usual suspects because I do not think we could do better in this market.

Hes done well recently but, hes not the player to take us forward in my opinion, puts too much unnecessary pressure, his long balls are inconsistent, gl to him though!

ALSO HES ON GOAL OF THE WEEK ON SSN!

anyone else getting worried with the lack of height in our team now? a midfield of maloney nguemo brown and mcgeady!! 3of them under 5ft 8 or sumfin, brown under 6ft. only2players over 6ft are 2centre backs. could c a lot of problems against free kicks and corners, especially against the manky mob.

sad to see donati go. * bless :50:

Yep I was just thinking that yesterday as well. Caldwell isn't even over 6ft either. He's 5ft 11, small for a centre half. The only 2 outfield players starting just now that are over 6ft are Loovens and Fortune'e. I definitely think Tony Mowbray will have to address that by bringing in a taller player or two.

Not atall... We still have Boruc/heid/loovens/o'dea/fox/fortun'e there for defending set pieces thats plenty. It's not all about height.. Fox and Caldwell arent the tallest but they win shitloads of headers.. Same with N'Guemo. hes a midge but somehow wins alot of headers.. Look at Larsson for example, Tim Cahill?

We have a 6 foot 2 Korean coming in January who plays centre-mid... However, I'd imagine it won't be until the 10/11 season that we see him in action as a first-teamer...

I'm pretty confident we'll be alright at set pieces this year.. Boruc seems alot more commanding inside his 6 yard area this year and his handling has been nothing short of exceptional since the start of pre-season!!! Were also not using zonal defending :50:

Can't believe he's been sold. I guess Mowbray really was just putting him on the shop window for all to see.

Another Celtic player done in. :\

i guess your statment could be about any celtic player as in my opnion every one of them are far to in consistant

latley donati has stood out, hes played well in every match, there are worse"inconsistant players" at celtic park and have been for 3/4 years
