there's a lot of doom and gloom within the ranks. which is understandable as Rangers are in the Champions League and we're not. we have only have ourselves to blame for not winning the league last year. simple as.

we'd all obviously prefer to be in the Champions League, but this thread is for fans to show some positivity towards our future European campaign.

    positives for me...
    - we have more chance to go further in the UEFA cup than Champions League.
    - if we go far in the UEFA cup, it'll raise our co-efficiency for future European campaigns.
    - as Rangers are playing a higher calibre of teams, they will undoubtedly get sidetracked physically and mentally.
    - at least we're still in Europe (remember Bratislava).
    - it's a new format for the UEFA cup and bigger teams in it this year due to changes in the Champions League qualifying system, so should be more exciting.

The one major postive is that we have seen what we need to do to reach the next level.

Obviously we have a better chance of progression in the Europa than the CL

I'm just glad we've got European football to look forward to..Yeah i know it's not the Champions League but if we can get through a few rounds it'll mean some much needed revenue.
It looks like it'll be a good competition with teams like Aston Villa, Everton, Villareal, Valencia,AS Roma, Ajax...need i go on!!
Let's enjoy it and win the league this year and try and get our Champions League entry back on track next season!

    C'mon the Hoops!:shamrock::celt_2::shamrock:

But a level a lot of clubs would LOVE to be at.

We will be a CL side again next year, lets focus on the Europa League this season.

The Europa is all we deserve after the performances we put in over the last 6 months of the season. Its our level at the moment and I'm happy enough that were still gonna have European nights at Celtic Park.

I think we could really do well in the europa league this season. Just had a look through the possible teams in it and i would fancy our chances against anyone. Obviously we don't know what teams are going to drop out of their Champions League group in 3rd place so there could still be a few top class teams you would need to add to that list but looking at the stand out ones:

    Shakhtar Donetsk
    AS Roma
    FC Basel
    PSV Eindhoven
    Hamburg SV
    Villarreal CF
    Aston Villa
    FC Twente
    AEK Athens
    Fenerbahce
    Ajax
    Lazio
    Galatasaray
    Benfica
    Werder Bremen
    Everton
    Fulham
    Valencia
    Zenit

All these teams have not definately qualified yet but these are probably the best we could come up against. We've beaten better!!!:icon_mrgreen:

But there is still some top teams in there so i don't think it's the diddy cup anymore.

Europa league will be a good experience for this team. Obviously, we are still far from likes of Arsenal. On the other hand, with a bit of luck, in Europa league we can accomplish the latter stages.
