If the right money came in then id have to say bye bye mr brown. If some of the figures out there are correct then with that money to play about with we could probably get better value for money getting somebody else in. Dont get me wrong i like the guy and when he's fit and playing well he's great but there are possibly better options out there. Every player has a price so if the 6-8 million figures are right then id say take it and spend wisely

I prefer players to money I can't see or use. Keep him, he's a decent player and will be a big part in us winning the league.

If we sell him the money won't be completely reinvested anyway probably, and who would we get in the last few days of the window that's better anyway?

    Keep him.

Sell. I'd rather see Paddy McCourt next to n'Guemo than Brown at this point. Obviously we need to sell Brown and try and find someone to pull the strings and provide an offensive threat in the middle of the park.

All these sell Scott Brown threads are getting right on my man *! If we get offered 10 or 11 million pounds for him then yeah I suppose we let him go. Any less than that then no way. Scott Brown was our best player last season. He will be a key part of our team again this season if we keep him. Sure he has his weaknesses, his passing isn't exactly Zidane-esque, but for pure energy and commitment he's second to none. Some of the stick he gets is laughable.

    What is a "decent offer"?

That would be nice in an ideal world, but this isn't. Who do we replace him with? How do we find them at the last minute? If there's another player out there in the 4m range (we're not going to spend much more than that on 1 player even if we got 10m+) why don't we buy them now?

That's a lot easier said than done. If only it were that simple.

With a bid like that Everton can * off. Not even worth considering a lousy 6m. Come to the table with 8m and I might not hang up on you laughing. 10m is more what I'd like to see.

If we can get a replacement, deal... sorted. If we can't, it's not worth it. He's a very limited players but he's still one of our most consistent performers and has been better than anyone else at CM until N'Guemo arrived.
We get rid of him and we're left with N'Guemo, Donati, Crosas, Robson... that looks pretty * to me. 1 good CM with 2 on-form/off-form and 1 good aging injury-prone CM.
Winning the league is more important than making a quick buck. We can already see what it's cost us this year -- we gifted the huns a lifeline and shot ourselves in the foot having to deal with jammy cheating * in CL qualifiers.

Yes but then why don't we have them signed already? Ferry, Flood, Mizuno, Brown could all be out the door. The only one that really concerns me is Brown... if we can find a good replacement, I'll jump at it.
The chances are already there to sell several midfielders on, making room for another quality CM. So if Mowbray sees one, why aren't they here yet?

I thought flood did reallt well when he came on. I would like to see him get a run in the team.

I think for the right money we should def consider it.

I would like to see Donati keeping his place. I think he has been exceptional so far. It would be interesting to see Donati and N'Guemo make a partnership. That would leave Donati going forward and N'Guemo to hold.

There is little or no money in the spl, if a 9-10 million bid
comes in, flog him. I'm not saying he is a bad player, but we should have enough to cope with the league without him. Get N'Guemo signed permanently, and let the others (donati, robson, McCourt etc.) fight for the other spot in midfield. I don't think brown offers the creativity that we are obviously lacking, plenty of energy and commitment but not enough in the final third.

if a bid of 8 mill or more comes in we would take the money and buy 2/3 good signings.this after all is the reason we bought scott brown to sell on in a few years for profit that should be put back in to strenghten the team. so i say sell

If reports are true, we may get large sum of cash from him. I would sell him for 8m which is likely to be offered. He isn't worth that much, very overrated and we have N'Guemo to replace him.

I say we gotta keep him.....he is the only player in our team with a pair of balls....

...we have a team of light weights, and need Scott Brown harassing the opposition in the centre.

You's are saying we sell Brown and buy two other players.....how long ye reckon we have to go shopping? There is 4 days left, who of quality do ye think we can bring in in that time??
