    Burlin as I am, I felt the need to post this.

    Was at the gala casino in Sauchiehall st, at the bar, saw what looked looked like Peter Grant - aproached.

    After a bit of banter with his mate/agent, I asked for I.D. P Grant, right enough.

    Will admit I got a bit giddy. Theres a difference from meeting a Celtic player and a true Celtic man.

    The man bleeds green, Tic through and through.

    We talked about the boo boys of the 90s (which illl will admit at 8 years old I was part of - clueless wee * I was).

    Broke his heart. True Celtic legend and a stand up guy.

    Undervalued/underrated in his era also. His style wasn't fashionable back then.

    * Makalele.

    Peter Grant CSC.

    YNWA.

    Gotta admit guys when i was a kid iwent to St. Michaels in Port Glasgow and at assembly we were told a Celtic player was coming the following week rumours flew about that it was the maestro McStay who was my favourite player looked forward all weekend to meeting him totally excited i was about 9 queued up to get into the assembly hall turned round and it was Peter * Grant i was * devastated nearly cried i just turned and left. then in 1995 tennants scottish cup final Granty cemented himself with a display (passing a fitness test to play) that just destroyed the opposition despite playing with basically one leg passion guts determination from that day Granty for me was a total legend cut him in two and his insides are hooped green and white you'll do for me pete LEGEND:50:

    He came to Cork in the early 90's for a Celtic supporters function and spent 2 days on the beer with him. He sat in the bar and answered any questions we asked him and told us some great stories about old firm games. He was just like one of the lads at the end of the weekend. A true gent and no bullshit out of him.

    After he moved on from Celtic, i always looked out to see what he was up to. Glad to see him back where he belongs.

    Never met Granty before but worked in his mum's house up in Chapelhall and she is one of the nicest woman you could ever meet.
