Aint convinced with his play but i did appreciate his attitude today, looks like the kind that didnt give a * what others thought today and was making a point, my sort of player.

yeh im glad he finally scored, but im still not convinced, until he can score against a decent team and consistantly he wont convince me, 2 goals is nothing

Were you convinced one way or the other by John Hartson when he continually failed to score his first goal for the club in many more games than Fortune has taken? How long did it take him to win you over? Chris Sutton averaged around 12 goals a season for us, hardly prolific for a forward that cost £6M, what's your opinion of him?

I doubt you will ever be happy with Fortune, as his scoring record at previous clubs is not one to boast about, which appears to be your sole criteria for a forward. Like myself, many fans seemed to be concerned about this in the lead up to him signing, however from my own point of view i've been happy with his contribution on the field so far, his link-up play seems to be as billed by Tony Mowbray, with our midfielders weighing in with goals already. Additionally, he is also finding himself in many goalscoring positions, unfortunately he has only taken a couple but as long as he keeps finding the space even a poor ratio of converted chances should bring in 15-20 goals as season.
Firstly, he had to read the play and find the space to make the opportunities in the first place. Also, his 2nd goal was by no means a tap in.

Funnily enough on Friday night in the pub one of my mates was giving Fortune pelters and saying how * he was. I told him to just back off and give the guy a while to settle in and see what he can do. At one point I did honestly say 'see when he score 2 tomorrow you'll no being saying any of this' and * me he went and scored 2! :56:

Obviously 2 goals against St.Johnstone doesn't make him a star, but it's a start. Everyone should just chill out, support the guy and let's see what he's capable of. Mowbray seems to rate him and I trust Tony's judgement. Here's to a few more Fortune goals. :50:

we all know the reason tm bought him was to make space for the others in the team. without him in the team do you think mceagdy & maloney would be getting the goals they are. as long as mcdonlad & the midfield are scoring goals & we are winning games i dont give a * how many he gets

We all love a good moan, no doubt. But they'll be no more hero's at celtic park if we continue to judge players on such a short space of time. Give the guy a chance to play some football!

a good all round performance from fortune and I was delighted for him when he scored. He looked so relieved himself that he didn't even celebrate. Did anyone see the sitter for what would have been in hat rick though? lol. Still, was a good performance from the big guy.

the big man covered a lot of ground yesterday, held the ball up well, ran the channels, tracked back to win the ball back & scored 2 goals. a fine striking performance from our
    big front man.

he didnt just score two goals, he held the ball up brilliantly on many occasions, and worked his socks off in my opinion.

looked yesterday that everyone was after a goal, mcgeady seemed to be annoyed that he wasnt getting one! hahaha

think mowbary has made them more attack orientated ( midfield ) and told them to try get goals, and obviously fortune is the man thats helping them. seems like he's trying to over time make them into goal machines so that theyve got an eye for goal instead of just running up the wing and lobbing it into the box. dont know if ive described it right, but im sure somebody will know what i mean haha

and about mcdonald, i think he had a bit of a * game yesterday and didnt rate him at all, BUT when i think about it.. he definatly wasnt as greedy as he usually is, and was also trying to get the midfielders in on alot of attacks. i dont know how many times he tried a wee quick 1-2 to maloney or mcgeady. they barely worked, but its a start.

The thing is when you go to a new club you want to impress and you can try too hard at times but it comes when you relax and hopefully now he has his goals he can relax and enjoy the support of his own fans that really he should have had all along

lads it was st. johnstone ffs, theyre terrible. id say most of us would score goals against them if we were put in the celtic team. we'll see against arsenal if he plays, that he is MUCK.
