Mandzukic was priced as 8m striker. They didn't sell him. He'll probably leave for 10m or something. And I don't know that Morales guy.

And I agree that Easter Europe has a lot of great players to offer, but we must look elsewhere. Our scouts don't look here or in Asia or some other place with quality prospects.

And Broony can go for 8m+.

 

Exactly!! These players aren't bargains. Just look at Luka Modric, he cost spurs £16.5m from Zagreb. Not quite a bargain.

 

you bet me to it. i just came on to post the exact same thing been watching the hearts game and zagreb have been playing some very good football with morales looking some player i would like to see this guy in hoops especially if brown was to leave.

 

im not saying go out n sign players like luca modric, but there are players in and around teams like this that wud be great for us and cost around 3 or 4 mil

Dinamo have a greedy vice-president, who also happens to be the agent of a lot of players, so he looks for every last penny, when selling players. Just look at the fees they got from Eduardo to Arsenal, Modric to Spurs and Corluka to City. They also paid a fair bit to sign Morales, so yeah, it's a no go.

 

I wonder if we sold them Mcgeady and Brown they might give us a deal on someone like david bentley?

morales does look a quality player.

Like others have said though, Zagreb have sold players for big money lately.

There is alot of good talented players we could get for decent money in romania/czech republic/croatia/serbia etc. It's just whever we have the scouts in place to find them. At the moment it doesn't look like it.

 

Croatian player Anas Sharbini we were linked with last year was sold by his Croatian team to Hajduk Split along with his brother for 2.3m €, so I guess that's about 2m pounds or so, give or take a bit. There are definitely bargains out there, but it's not easy to find them.

 

Despite McGeady being better than Bentley ?
