after watching the game last nite i was wondering what the likes of red star, steua, malmo, psg, aberdeen and all the teams who used to do well in europe are now thinking.what can uefa do to get back to the days when teams were good bcoz they worked at being good instead of buying success.its not right that teams can get into millions of pounds in debt and fuckall gets done about it.lets have a tournament that doesnt include english, spanish or italian teams becoz whats the chance of the champions league being won by a team outside these countries ever again.im starting to hate the game bcoz whats the point even entering.

a quality midfielder, a dominant center half, and a proven goalscorer, and we would have won last night

Hopefully everyone will get so * off at the amount of money they spend on football as well as the amount of money paid to players, they will cancel their SKY subscription and switch to (ahem) Eurovox.

Then SKY will go bust and the English Premiership will be running around wondering how to get out of debt.

    Well it's a dream anyway.

The gap will never be closed as long as clubs sit back and take it. It will take many clubs throughout Europe to stick two fingers up to UEFA and go and start their own Euro league.

The only way we can begin to bridge the financial gap is to create our own stars....something we are investing in significantly.

well the only way i can see it happening is a have a transfer fee cap and wages cap then the rest of us might be able to compete, have a transfer fee cap of say 10 million and wages cap at 50,000 a week then if the rest of europe see a quality player then at least everyone will have a chance to sign him .

they must look at what a teams turnover is and work there budget round that.all of the teams who have won the champs league in the last 5 to 10 years are upto their eyeballs in debt.that cant be allowed to go on.

yeah, £20,000 a week is more than enough i mean it's just over £1,000,000 a year...for playing football.

well what fifa or uefa should do then is tell these clubs if your more that 20,000,000 in debt then you cannot compete in the cl and see how many english teams fail to get in it will be just about everyone of them then we will win the CL hail hail. well we will prob be the only team in it lol

aberdeen, hearts, hibs and dundee utd may feel the same in the SPL, although, that's a slightly different agruement.

personally the debt these clubs get into should have to stop. the money being spent is ridiculous.

in scotland the old firm are so successful but they have built their stature over the period of over a century, all SPL clubs get the same share of tv money so the rest can't argue that we can spend more than them.

the premiership is no different to chelsea really. sky have bankrolled them to become one of the biggest leagues in europe. there's no way they needed to spend that much for the tv rights.

i think there could be a third european comp added, with all the teams failing to make the group stages of europa and champs league going into a knockout tournament, thus giving these teams a chance at european glory. more money could be made from this, maybe not as much as the other two, but enough to get these lower teams in a healthier position to challenge in the other 2 in time.

6+5rule also stop seeding teams to big of an advantage already without hand picking teams for them to play should be a free for all in the draw for the cl leagues also n,guemo now misses next weeks game thru suspension for 2 yellow cards one picked up in earlier round that arsenal never had to play in how is that a level playing field only way arsenal player could of missed next weeks game was by getting sent off so all the teams in the same boat as us were at a disadvantage before a ball was kicked
