I think loovens is much better than caldwell,,difference being loovens rarely makes mistakes and heid makes mistakes fairly regular,,those mistakes may not get punished in the spl but at the top level they do..Two of those mistakes cost us both goals tonight,,yes it was a soft freekick but ultimately it was given and cost a goal however unfortunate it was,,as for the 2nd i believe he could have done better..

    MY SUMMARY

    1) Should have been 0-0
    2) Arsenal are a good side and have some quality players Fabregas, Arshavin
    3) We are not CL level
    4) We havewasted 3.8 million pounds
    5) Boruc did not have a save
    6) Almunia did not have a save
    7) I have always hated arsenal almost as much as the huns and Man U
    8) We need a STRIKER
    9) We need a QUALITY ATTACKING CENTRAL MIDFIELDER
    10) Sell Scott Brown for as much as we can get 10 million plus (most over rated player i have ever seen)

Even when he played out of position I didnt think he did too badly. He is the best CB at the club atm and he looks it, maybe the SPL is his level but he's had some excellent european performances just as he has had poor.

I agree that every player had to step up tonight and in the end they werent as good as Arsenal. Also i agree Caldwell was poor tonight but he didnt * up the game for us and apart from the Benfica game i dont remember many more games he '* up' for us.

To be fair some of his cross field passing was a bit off tonight I was hoping/expecting tidier passing from him tonight as he has shown the previous few matches. Either that or the players just weren't making the run's he was expecting them to make prior to him passing the ball....

    Chillout dude!

As an English man, I'd say most English players are overated and wouldn't get nowhere in our team nor will any scottish player. I'm only stating facts.

Man City, let's just wait and see ey. I'l rather wait to comment after the game rather then before just like todays game. :50:

I can understand your peed off.

I know were your coming from mate his passing was awful tonight, and i expected better also, but its just the fact the guys been getting praise for a month now and then 1 bad game and the usual stick gets thrown at the individual. No doubt McGeady will be next even though he is getting praised tonight. It just annoys me how ppl get judged on game by game basis sometime, suppose its what footballs all about for us fans post match opinions.

I thought he was a horrendous RB for us too many bad runs/decision by him, but again not entirely his fault as he was asked to play out of position that's a given.

Yes I wholeheartedly agree that the SPL is his level and unfortunately he'll struggle to rise above it.

Is he the best CB at the club at the moment? interesting I will have to say yes as he is without a doubt a 1st choice centre back who has also been given the captains armband. As for European performances well only the really bad ones seem to stick in my mind (as they would) I'm honestly struggling to think of a euro performance where he shined ahead of his partner (in most cases McManus).

That's not to say he hasn't at all shined in euro games, just that he will forever be the one that didn't in terms of his performance tonight.

Why are people surprised by the result?

Just look at the leagues the two play in, the calibre of player the two can attract and the amount of money the two have at their disposal.

I think you got the wrong end of the stick. Back to my point is that the atmosphere didn't effect us.

Gooner, don't mind the few idiots who can't take a loss on the chin.

Congrats on your win and keep on playing football the way you do - it's a joy to watch.

To be honest with you i sympathise with celtic because there is nothing worse than losing to a couple of jammy goals. Arsenal dominated possesion wise but created absolutely nothing, bar 10 minutes at the start of the second half, and even that came from your players giving away possesion in key positions.

As for the reason for the lack of englishness in our team, well english players are the most overpriced, overrated players on the planet. I mean united paid mega money for rooney when he was like 18. Why pay 20-30 million for an englishman, when for a fraction of that price we can get players such as van persie etc, etc. We now have some decent players coming through the academy now anyway who within the next 5 years should be first team regulars.
