I think TM is being pretty cute here, he is making it clear, that if a substantial bid comes in, then we might be willing to do business.
Everyone is for sale, for the right price.

It was just my opinion mate not slating the manager. Id just like us to hold onto our best players. We dont need to sell to bring in money. We are very stronf financially.

General manager speak for "he's going no-where, but if someone wants to pay silly money for the player which will ultimately enhance the club then we'll look at it"

btw I think Hinkel is a great attacking full back, but isn't the best as doing what he's supposed to do - defend.

If we recieve a big offer, I wouldn't be too crushed to see him move on.

I think Caddis has good potential and will do well given the chance. If the money means we can strengthen in areas we need, then thats a good deal for Celtic.

Can't see Hinkel leaving. And I certainly wouldn't like us to do that. He will be vital for us this season, so selling him would be a bad move really.

I dont think we should even consider selling hinkel unless he has been asking to leave as while caddis is a possible replacement we dont have another experienced r/b should he get injured or has a loss of form, imo we should be improving the team not weakening it.

he is great support down the right when attacking. defending, on the other hand, which is his primary duty, he isn't that great.

    £3m and i think he'll be off.

He really came onto a game last season and I really hope he goes nowhere.

We're just starting to look strong in the fullback areas for the first time in ages.

Bit of a bandwagon that one for me, his defending is fine and in the way Mowbray sets his side out he will be caught out further up the field but it's the duty of the holding midfielder(s) to plug the gaps.

As craigy said, he is being cute. He'll know he is worth far more than £3 million.

I've got a feeling that hinkel is off but i think TM will leave it until he knows who will fill his spot be it a replacement fullback or after caddis gets a bit more of a run out. i dont think that he'll be gone before tuesday as its too big a game to take any sort of risk

It actually mentioned this in the record lol, yesterday ,as i read on it said an offer of 1.5 million would probaly seal the deal ,,eh ,typical record reporting ,i dont but that rag it was my mate who pointed it out ,but surely celtic would be looking for more than 3-4 million for an international player .

    Personally i wouldnt sell him

mowbray said on clyde before the aberdeen game that there's always interest when you have good players, but usually clubs like to keep their good players.
    hope he stays.

i think he has a big part to play this season because of the attacking formation we will be using most games. as to the comments regarding his defensive qualities the other right backs we have are not too clever at defending either.

if we sell him I hope its because Mowbary wants to and has plans for a replacemetn. We are not a selling club so i hope we dont do it for the money.

I would rather we kept Hinkel, great wee player and can see a big season ahead of him for us.
