fox had a pretty standard performance he did a job which i liked but n'guemo looked class he never seemed rushed when he had the ball and when he made his pass it was always the right one in my opinion and he tracked backand all, he seemed like he would make a very good partner shp with brown

I thought Donati was one of our best tonight, he made a couple of loose passes but so did most of the team, his overall contribution was first class. N'Guemo & Fox were excellent aswell and Brown looked back to full fitness when he came on.

N'Guemo is solid, I would love to see Scott Brown attacking with N'Guemo holding down the midfield. However I am disapointed with what I've seen from Fortune so far but I think he will step it up.

The difference being that as soon as N'Guemo wins the ball, he's looking to play it forward, rather than back.

Which makes his high pass completion ratio all the more impressive...

Am I the only person who thiks that Fortune was very ordinary again?
Brown was def the difference when he came on and Hinkel, 2 off-the-line and an assist.

I agree. The BBC pundits pointed out that he keeps dragging himself out wide into the areas that Maloney and McGeady want to be. O.K. so this actually led to a goal(!) but in general it should be him in and outside the box trying to hold up, link up and get into dangerous positions to roll the defender (which he appears good at) using his strength and geting a shot in.

It is so early for him so far, I'm sure Mowbray will be quick to give him a nudge in the right direction.

Fortun'e problem is he is trying too hard to impress.
We haven't had a player who was physically strong and who can hold the ball up since Hartson, with the added bonus that he is more mobile.
The guy needs more support from McDonald, who was everywhere on the pitch other than in the box for most of the game.
Took his goal well, but if we are talking about contribution.................
Our midfield won it for us yesterday, but at least we have options in that department who can change the shape and hopefully any game we are in
Hats off to Mogga for a formation and an attacking style that our so called better players deserve to play

    Completely agree.

N'Guemo definetely looks a player on his performances so far and isn't afraid to do the dirty work. Hartley covered that area for us a few times and done a great job but it wasn't his favoured position, whereas N'Guemo looks right at home in there and looks to be enjoying himself also. His play is allowing Brown the freedom to roam forward almost at will and it's great to see. A certain Mr.Stein once said the best place to defend was on the opponents 18yd line....we've waited a good few years to see that again but last night was a glorious wee taster of things to come, of that I'm sure.

Think it's too early to sign N'Guemo but if he keeps on at the rate he's going, I'm pretty sure Mowbray will try to sign him in January.

Fox was outstanding. Real quality. If he keeps that up himself and Hinkel will be excellent on the wings going forward and at the back this season. As for N'Guemo well what can you say that hasent already been said..GET HIM SIGNED!

    Point of the week!!! :50:
So many times I hear people slating him that havent even seen the game. Listen to the radio where certain people just will not praise him, no matter how good he plays. Some of his cross field passes were class and if it had been Crosas people would have been raving about his performance!!!

    Get behind the big man!!

he did well last night, this is not slagging him off or anything, but he doesnt give alot to the team, well just now he doesnt dont know if hes scared to try things right now incase he gets chucked out the team, or if he taking it slowly right now, but last night all he did was get the ball pass it a few yeards with a few great passes in between, i want to see him drive forward with the ball, im sure hes a good dribbler be a bit more creative and think faster, if he was in italy he could play that killer pass but here he needs to speed it up since our game isnt as slow as theres

and his a * midgit along with it, * says something don't it :icon_mrgreen:

i mean i knew he wasn't big but he's no taller then skippy but just proves being small means * all to n'guemo he's as strong as anything throws in some perfect tackles (better then our cb's at times) can spot a good pass.

got the ability in him to the perfect all round player next to brown, although i think if he carries on and we sign to our books we will be looking for someone to partner n'guemo not brown, i mean at the moment it's all about who partners brown soon it will be who partners n'guemo

Anyone else notice Fox's heading ability? He may not seem to be the biggest or strongest of guys but he dominated his man in the air.
