Sammy gets an 8 for me for looking dangerous and of course getting that wonderful solo effort at the end. Real composure and he is absolutely gunning for a starting place in our side. He gets a lot of stick but fair play to him he is looking hungry.

goal.com rated mcgeady very well and like 8 and rated massimo a 4 and tore into him pretty well


I didn't see the game but comparing the ratings i'm wondering if goal.com did either

 

Nguemo was a * beast tonight. Scott Brown changed the game what tactical genious!!!!! Strachan would never have done that. Even Samaras who I dont raelly like played well.

 

boruc (6) had nothing to do really
hinkel (7) done really well up and down the flank - fantastic ball for skippy
caldwell (6) shaky at times, good enough though
loovens (7) solid performance
fox (8) looked good, could have avoived long balls at times
mcgeady (5) no space or time on ball and whenever he got a half chance his final ball was poor
donati (9) controlled the game fantastically
n'guemo (9) looks a really good player, classy to say the very least
maloney (6) tried his best, missed a decent chance 1 on 1
fortune (7) worked tirelessly again and done brilliant for the opener
mcdonald (8) quiet in the first half until goal, looked good 2nd half

scott brown (7) showed his quality and versatility when he came on
samaras (7) wouldn't usually rate a late sub this high but he played well and his goal was unbelievable

just noticed mowbray was in the list after i voted - his tactics were superb as were his substitutes 10/10 a night never to be forgotten

 

Mowbray comes in and in his first away game in europe we win and get tht monkey off our back. I have faith in this guy hes a tactical genius. N'guemo n Fox ? Who had heard of them before they joined us. They really are class

 

mcgeady cant get more than a 5 he was absolutly shocking. everyone else though put in a effort to be proud of.

 

n´guemo- for he steamed all over the place, and his sharp passing! up and down the big wee man....mighty 6!!!

 

Donati 6??? U havin a laugh the guy was outstanding tonight, far better player than Crosas

Caldwell - 6 - Too many sloppy passes, anywhere else in europe we would have got punished

Fox - 8 - Showed he was a gd footballer....did he seem like a tim thru + thru!!? Hard as nails - just wanted to win it!!!
McGeady - 6 - big stage...ordinary again. Tho showed it in bits
Donati - 7 - U can see why milan paid 10 mil + you can see why not!
N'Guemo - 9 - Won the ball, passed the ball very well.Even when he lost the ball he chased it, fought for it, etc. Grafter, fighter, Celtic player. Sign that bhoy!
Maloney - 7 - bits + pieces! Think hes capable of more!
McDonald - 7 - anon...1st touch is * poor... but who cares!! wot a finisher!!
Fortune - 7 - Holds ball up well...big bhoy...thats about it
Brown - 7 - buzzbomb, looked right up for it!
Samaras - 7 - Thank You!!
Glad to see we're thru against a team that we were always better than (Even before the tabloids said we were as bad as aberdeen, motherwell, etc)

thought both fullbacks were good but broony stuck out like a sare thumb even if it was for half an hour he was awesome my motm

 

yeah , n'guemo was very solid.
hinkel had a very good game bar one silly piece of defending
no weak links for a change. team, even bench looks very motivated which i always look out for.
preparation is the key , motivation is the driver

 

personally i feel n'guemo makes our defence play better, him in midfield a feel makes the defence chill the * out at times

 

gotta agree with your sentiments mate i thought he was top drawer real appetite to get stuck in and show that he should possibly have been on from the start exactly the kind of response and attitude you need from players to show they want to play for the hoops brown at 80% ffs cannae wait till the we mans buzzin and roarin to go!!!
