As i have been away from Glasgow since 1982, i for one have not experienced an away game at ibrox. Only ever seen it at its seen on telly, also never really been in the Govan area.most of us have hun mates and with all the banter that goes with it,i would like to know the following.

1.Is the surrounding areas to ibrox any better that ours?
2.is there stadium really better than ours?
3.is there atmosphere any better than our's on match day?eg huns v st mirren
    4. old firm games,i know it changes from game to game but do they have better vocal support than our ?

please can you give your honest opinions on this subject so i can clear this up once and for all....cheers

No, the stadium is a shithole and the surrounding areas are awful.

1_ no it's just as bad and the traffic was horrendous

2_load a * you should know by looking at them both ours is bigger and better

3_ yes and no they have a small group who make all the noise so do we .but what gives them the edge is having the band makes it sound busier TBH

4_ away support about equal but i think the atmosphere at home could be better . alough i have not been to ibrox on derby day so cannot compare .

the bricks outside make it look old as for against st mirren etc they probably are the same(quiet) but cl games they are miles behind us in terms of atmosphere

    1. Surrounding area to Ibrox ( Paisley road etc ) is a dive, well run down.

    2. Better than ours ? Depends what you interpret that as. For example they have 5 star status awarded to their stadium - We dont. However our stadium creates a better atmosphere. Our main entrance is fairly new and modern were as theirs is a listed building. I must be honest though and admit that there are parts of our ground which looks pretty bad from outside in particular.

    3. No, its well documented that Ibrox is like a morgue against the lower sides.

    4. Absolutely not. Of course once someone scores the dynamic changes but when the game is level Celtic has the more vocal support.

Celtic Park surrounding areas are a bit run down, but it has more tims so it's better. And Ibrox is a dump anyway.

Being honest, there's will last longer than ours because wee Fergus just tried to get ours thrown up made of any metal he could get his wee hands on. But without doubt CP makes a better atmos than mordor, easily!.

Both are *. Not that I've been to their patch other than when we're there.

These days, their support is more vocal, and it's absolutely gutting. Reason - Thomas Cook packages at ibrox. And our home support has just got worse and worse these days; Celtic Park's full of moaners these days.

Sorry about the nagativity in only my 2nd post but you all know I'm talking sense.

    1. Not they are roughly the same, only all the old closes around Celtic Park are well away, last time I was near Ibrox there were still there don't know if they're away now.

    2. No, they are roughly the same only Celtic Park is bigger and more open on the inside. Inside there is no quality in either stadium they contain painted steel and breeze block and plain concrete flooring. Nothing like the interiors of Wembley, Old Trafford or good stadiums.

    3. No just as quiet if not more quiet.

    4. No, Celtic Park is probably louder but just as much singing gets done by both sets of fans. Celtic Park is louder because theres more people and the stadium is open. Ibrox each stand is closed off so you can only hear your own stand.

i would like to say the areas surrounding both celtic and rangers
are * holes yes the closes are pulled down and there is now
more proper new homes but they are the same in terms of violence
gangs crime that stuff but for commonwealth 2014 there is
    a sports village and stuff
being built right next to celtic park and other
    stuff quite impressive
that will surely make us better

What did you really expect in terms of answers to those four questions?

I will say one thing: at least all their season ticket holders generally turn up for every match.
