Naylor and Donati

I cant believe this thread ive severely criticised donati in the past but i thought he genuinely had a really good game tonight are people blind he had a good game

 

Donati was average, nothing too good, yet not too bad but I dont think hes cut out for Celtic or the SPL tbh, maybe he will prove me wrong as he undoubtedly has a lot of talent but in the end I would prefer brown or robson in their anyways, and I dont think he will be a regular starter once they are fit.

Naylor now, that is an imposter. What happened to the left back we had in his first season? Its really disappointing how consistently poor he is, yet there is people on here defending him all the time saying he is a good player, and I really cant fathom out how they can say that? Yes he tries hard and runs down the line all day, but if people like him for that then we would aswell as signing Usain Bolt to play there. It really is time he was moved on, his time with Celtic has come and gone.

 

donati was'nt poor, he spread the ball nicely all over the pitch, he lost the ball once. and tracked backed and won the tackle! he also had a cracking shot from distance which was very unlucky not to go in, and also his dribling at the corner of the box then his chip in by far he had a decent game and did'nt deserve to come off. he was'nt given the 90 minutes ethier give the guy a break for * sake, the team lost not him

 

Totally agree i actually thought when Donati was subbed we played *. Nguemo looks a little gem of a player but he gave the ball away far more than Donati. I would hate to be a creative midfielder at Celtic with those 2 fuds up front

 

At least someone agree's with me here, i thought we lacked it and lost the ball even more when donati came off, what was mowbry thinking? maloney in centre midfield against big russian players? he should have left donati and nguemo playing together was a decent understanding btw them, and brought scott fox on straight for lee naylor, i would also have keptd mcdonald on and played 3 up front (samaras killen mcdonald) 3 in midfield (mcgeady bursting through with nguemo sitting very deep and donati slightly less deep) then the back four of for me should have been ( fox o'dea caldwell hinkel/ or even caddis) thoughts?

 

totally agree, dunno what the game the folk on this forum were watching if they thought he was good, what a load of pish.

 

nguemo was best player in celtic shirt tonight by a mile his tenacity and quality on the ball were there to be seen especially first 70 minutes with him playing i think brown will be able to go forward donatti didnt do enough for me biggest problem was how * poor the finishing was alot of good balls in the box and openings created but finishing was so bad was unreal free headers shots from pen spot skied and duffed volleys

The only reason donati didn't give the ball away too often was because he was passing it 2ft player to player......no imagination, penetration or anything that constitutes a decent thought process, take too long, always wants and extra touch. Nguemo at least misisd out a player and went wide left misisng out donati and tried to speed it up abit, first time balls etc.

 

I nearly * myself at this, the stats for tonight showed Donati was the best passer on the park, Nguemo is a little buzzbomb looks a fine prospect but he gave the ball away a fair amount of times

 

it's no hard to be the best passer on the park when you pass it backwards or to the player 5 yards next to you every time.

 

Bullshit Donati was spreading the ball around not just a simple pass here and there , get a grip give the guy a break he wasnt even the worst player out there tonight that donkey award goes to Loovens no wonder the huns all laugh at us for spunking 2.5 mill on this clown

folk again blame the easy players that constantly get targeted ...donati was quite but effect when he did get on the ball spreading the play when he could and even if he was at times passing short its better to keep ball rather than give it away , our main problem for the whole team is our final ball is pish , we lack real pace and we cant take the chances we do get .. end off story balme this player and that player if you want but as a team we lack too much at times
