hopefully after Moggas first set of matches against Moscow we get through because i think the journalists will turn on Mogga, just like they did WGS although the artmedia result was diabolical. Its just that the scottish journalists have been quite reluctant to write anything negative about Mogga yet although they have tried to slate other areas of CFC ie bumblebee, mcgeadys spat with WGS, mcgeady getting caught speeding, Fotun'e's goal record ect.

I think the way our pre-season has gone some journo's esp the one's that support rangers are jealous of our money and so far good results and are looking for a slip up and i would hate to give them any reason to although they will find one anyway. hopefully we continue our good form into wednesday and really stick it right up the journos :50:

Dynamo Moscow is a very good team that i beleive we can beat but its no discrace to loose to them , then in the next round we can get teams like Arsenal etc. making it extremly difficult for us to qualify , i beleive we can beat any team but it will be hard but i dont think anyone has the right to turn on Mogga if we dont manage to qualify as it would be a BIG acheivment if we do!! Personally i would not mind the Europe Leauge it looks a great wee cup that we realisticly could win!! but financially i want us to get a good run in the CL!!

I think many journo's will have been disappointed so far that we've had a good pre-season. They'll have been hoping for a defeat or two, signs of weakness, the team not gelling etc.

However even our reserves beat Spurs 2-0 so they've not had the opportunity.

But make no mistake Moscow will be tough opponents. I think if it's 1-0 or 2-0 Celtic, that would represent a good result, and the journos knifes will have to stay in the kitchen cupboard.

But 0-0. 0-1, 1-1, 2-1 Celtic even, and you'll be able to hear the sound of knives being sharpened.

It's simply the journo way. We'd be very naive indeed to believe they didn't want Mogga to be a spectacular failure.

The tabloids will stick the boot in at the first opportunity. It's what sells papers.

Agree, which is why I don't read them, their opinion of our club is less than worthless :icon_mrgreen:

If we get put out by moscow, we have to play in the final Europa League Qualifying round.

However if we beat moscow but lose in the CL Play-off round We go stright into the Europa League Group Stages. Seeded 1st or 2nd.

If We Do Pull it off we'll be in the Champions League Usuall 3rd seeds.

Personally I'm in a little dreamland with Celtic at the moment. I'm realistic enough to appreciate it's pre-season and so on, but more then anything I just like the freshness of celtic. Fair enough we've only signed three players, but Mizuno, McCourt, Killen, Flood all getting a chance to show off a bit and guys like McGeady, Donati even Samaras looking so much sharper, I can't help it, I feel really optimistic.

And not just for this game. This will be a very, very tough test and if we manage it, the next round will be even tougher, but I don't care. I could even accept no european football this term if it helped us to gel in the SPL. Obviously I'd preffer the european nights, but I'm on such a happy cloud right now I could hug a hun and say, 'cheer up son'. * the Journos, we're the one's that matter, we're the one's that pay the cash and help give Celtic their reputation. I'm 100% behind the team, come what may, I'm here to give them the time to prove themselves.
