So we're relying on Lee Naylor:54:

yea it looks like it is a pretty serious injury with at least a couple months rehab, and unfortunately thats who we're stuck with at the moment :31:

I do have faith Mowbray will bring someone new...the only question is who????

I don't think I've seen O'Dea have a bad game in a Celtic shirt. A lot of Rangers fans I know can't understand why we don't play him, he's got a lot of potential.

Wait a minute, you went on to say Naylor isn't that bad....

Naylor is not a good defender, it's that simple. If he can sort out his crossing and perhaps stop people gettnig down our left flank then we might have a good player. His cross for the gaol against Roar wasn't a skill as in whipping in a ball or anything, it wa a half volley pass. A professional footballer shouldn't need 4 attempts to get a good cross into the box.

Paul Dixon of Dundee United or Lee Wallace of Hearts are both
    bumpers of LB's :50:

Get in there Mogga and get one of them ASAP :58:

    Maybe ScottishGhirl

But I think we could get Wallace or Dixon for about 1.5 M
We could even throw in Donati as a makeweight for the deal
But we do need a good LB :50: No two ways about it

also silvestre?,even gibbs on loan from arsenal???. jose enrique from newcastle wants to leave aswel!

or this one mite be too pricey but what about del horno?:50:

For me, players like Wallace and Dixon from the SPL just don't appeal at all, especially not for £1.5, Ulrik Laursen anyone? Donati would never join another SPL club, even if he was willing, how could anyone else afford his wages?

Kadlec is now at Bayer Leverkusen, and is unlikely to be either willing to move, or available at a realistic price.

Silvestre and Shorey are both likely to be outwith our wage structure, among other reasons not to sign them. Gibbs is unlikely to be allowed to move, and probably would'nt want to after getting game time at Arsenal last season.

Del Horno has been my preferred option for well over a year now, I think he may be in the last year of his contract, Valencia are skint and the player is not first choice. Circumstances seem ideal to move for him this summer.

point taken on kaldec but leverkusen aren´t as big as they where a few seasons ago. But as for del horno i am sure your right about himn being on his last year,he is wanted by valencia either and that was why he spent last seaon on loan at bilbao. has lots of pace and experience and like you mentiond about valencias finiancal state we could possibly agree on a price that would suit both parties :50::celt_2:

Lee Wallace does look a great prospect and Dixon also looks quality they would be good signings. I think that the young arsenal left back Armand Traoure would be a good player even if we got him on loan hes rapid and gets forward when ever possible.

Compare OD to Loovens and OD looks weak, one sided, poor in the air and one paced. OD is never a CB at Celtic level. He is also too limited in attacking sense to be a LB at a club like Celtic. He looks like he might be OK as the left man in a back three or a LB in a pretty defensive back four but I do not think he will make it at Celtic. Grossly overhyped player. I will be amazed if he ever makes it as a CB at Celtic. He just doesnt have anything. I think people are too taken by his general gutsyness and tough guy vibe but that is never enough.
