how does that explain that we only have four teams we can meet? Personally speaking I wouldnt mind a trip to Northern Ireland. We could do without a far flung trip to some unknown place.

    :50:Yes it is.

    I'm hoping we draw Prague:icon_mrgreen:
I'm confident we will be playing in the champions league group stages this year so long as we avoid Arsenal or Seville.

All this seading business is bollox. Uefa talk about the growing gulf in financial terms? Simple, take the seeding sytem out, champions of each country go into the group stage, the rest go into an unseeded randomly drawn pot to go through the qualifying rounds to get to the CL group stage. If the so called big clubs get turned over in a qualifying round they didnt deserve to be there anyway. And it would help spready the wealth around to the smaller tv revenue countries.

I dont fancy meeting any of these teams a play off to get to the group stages!!! Maybe Pana in Greece, but Arsenal, Lyon and Shakhtar all seem really quite hard given that we have only just started reconstructing our team with only one player so far.

I dont fancy any of these teams in a play off to get to the CL group stage, well maybe Pana. But the others appear to be really just as tough as Stuttgard Fiorentina and A Madrid.

Did you actually read it? It's dosen't say we can meet four teams. It explains that going through the "best placed" path there will be five ties, five ties = 10 teams. With it being a seeded draw, there will be five seeds and five non-seeds = each team will be drawn against one of five opponents, seeded teams will play non-seeded teams.

    To repeat what has been posted at least a dozen times, and hopefully, to end all head scratching, the five teams we can be drawn against are;

    FC Twente
    Dinamo Moscow
    Sivasspor
    Timisoara
    Sparta Prague

We will be drawn against one of these teams, end of story (until the next round).

Hopefully Bohemians upset Salzburg again and we get them. Could do with a simple tie nearer home.

Yes it can. They're in game 11, the winners of game 11 is unseeded in the next round and we're seeded.

Guys there seems to be a spot of confusion here. We're in the 3rd QF 'non Champions' section of the draw. We are one of 5 seeded teams in that draw, and as such for this upcoming round we can only be drawn against one of 5 sides, and they are:

    FC Twente
    Dinamo Moscow
    Sivasspor
    Timisoara
    Sparta Prague

Out of those 5 sides, I'd rather we avoided Dinamo Moscow and the Romanian's Timisoara (sounds horribly like another Artmedia Bratislava waiting to happen).

Twente would be a good draw, although not easy- they finished 2nd in the Eredivisie last season. However it would be a nice wee trip to Holland for all the bhoys and ghirls!

Don't know much about the Turks Sivasspor, but Sparta Prague are not what they once were, so could be the option most easily navigated out of the 5.

I think we have got what it takes to get through this round, though.

It's the next round that will be a bit of a *.

No it can't. Not under any circumstances.

There are at least a dozen previous posts showing the five teams we can be drawn against in the 3rd qualifying round, Bohemians are'nt one of them. We can't face them in the next round either.

So we play the 3rd quals vs Twente etc then the Play off round vs fiorentina, arsenals etc ?

Are arsenal automatically in the play-off round ?

I already have sky, but no sky sports. I've been hanging on to see what way this deal goes. How much will it cost to add Sky Sports to my package? No movies!!!

I'm delighted. From a football fan point of veiw i'll get the hoops, EPL and La Liga, plus many major sporting events now its gone to sky (not bothered about ESPN).:50:
