    As much as I can't believe that Celtic can't afford to splash out £500,000 required to take Caldwell now, if it means we can buy another player in the summer by saving now plus get Caldwell on a free, than it has to be seen as being prudent rather than penny pinching by the board.
    Still, half a million for a club Celtic's size.............

    Mark Wilson Talks

    Dundee United chairman Eddie Thompson has confirmed the club remain in talks with Celtic over the sale of full-back Mark Wilson.

    Thompson told the Scottish Daily Mail: "Celtic know what is required and know they have to reach agreement with me on certain things.

    "Nothing is agreed so far and as such I expect Mark to be one of the first names on Billy Dodds' team sheet for Sunday's game."

    This boy will be good for us, a real prospect this fella, can whip good crosses in, has pace and aggression, can take a decent corner and can defend more adequately than Telfer can.

    In short, more reliable and talented than Telfer will ever dream of being.
