    With the Americans edging out Italy and Egypt in the group stages, then beating world ranked #1 Spain in the semi-final, the United States now faces Brazil in the 2009 Confederations Cup final.

    Match predictions?

    Mine: USA 2-1

    Also, and most important, who do you think will start for either side and who are you rooting for?

    Note: No Michael Bradley for the match (suspended on red card).

    Prediction: 2-1 USA (AET, 1-1 at full time)

    The US will start the same team as they did against Spain, except Bradley (Dunno who will replace him) and Brazil will start as they did against SA.

    Given that performance against South Africa, I wouldn't be so sure. It will come to the USA's ability to finish and organization in the back four, and not starting Beasley.

    Brazil 3-1 USA

    Brazil will show up and show what they and the supposed other great footballing countries can do when they really turn on a game, can't see America uping there game that much for a second game in a row and Brazil can't be as poor as they were against South Africa, if they play slighty better than Spain did in the semi's( which wont be hard) and stick away their chances when they come then it should be in the bag.

    prediction . ..... 2-1 USA in a classic. Altidore and Donovan to score off the trap. I would feel more confident with Bradley in but I think we are the Fulham of the world. A good team but playing way above our weight. Don't worry my American bhoys we will get there and when we do the world will find another game.

    Going to the bar next to my apartment that is only a minute walking distance. It is supposed to be a big football pub during the world cup tournament. I figured this would be a big enough game where a nice crowd should be there.

    I think Brazil will edge out the U.S. 2-1, but as others have said, you never quite know what will happen. The beginning will be key and if the U.S. can survive the first 30 minutes, anything could happen.
