Jack Harper 19 year old, 6 foot Scottish striker who plays for Real Madrid has signed for Brighton. He would have been amazing for us.

so an article from last year that writes about how his dad and a few former coaches have said hes going to be good meas he would have been amazing for us?

dont get me wrong, the kid has good potential. but that all he has at the moment and that doesnt always translate to ability.

to say he would have been 'amazing for us' is just silly.

the kid is currently sitting in brighton's development team

Sahara is available as he's a free agent, a pay for play deal could be good for both parties.

Do you think he's better than Christie or Scott Allan?

i havent seen enough of him to answer that. i dont think anyone on this board has either.

just like no one on this board has seen enough of him to know that he would have been amazing for us

although the fact that christie is currently in the scotland u-21 squad and harper isnt suggests that coaches within the scotland setup feel christie might be better, and jason cummings, and lawrence shankland

I wouldn't trust Sbragia's opinion tbf. He said he hasn't seen a lot of him and he's a luxury, not big enough. He's like 6'1.

Sbragia's reason for not calling him up was ludicrous.

You don't play regularly for Real Madrid throughout your youth career if there is little talent there.

I hope he can make it, would love him here to see if we could develop him.

sbragia's reasoning was ludicrous, but plenty of players have played for Real's youths without ever stepping up and becoming good players

True but from what I've saw he looks a good player.

That's only been flashes of highlights though, I'd like to think we didn't ignore him and had a look though.

True but not many were Scottish born:smiley-laughing002:

It says alot that Spain are/were considering poaching him over to their youth side because Sbragia wouldn't call him up.

Graham Hunter who knows near enough all you need to know about Spanish football rates him highly, too.

Samaras is without a club. He can play wide left and up top on his own. No brainer get it done.

If we need an experienced defender in January Vegard Forren is not a bad shout. He doesn't have a lot of pace, but he has good positioning, reads the game well and has plenty of experience. I don't think he'd mind finishing his career at Celtic.

He's not too bad. Good delivery from set pieces. I'd take the left back before Fossen though.

Ron Vlaar is still a free agent.

He's just had knee surgery but I'd take a punt.
