    go large for bas dost,scored 32 goals in 25 league games only 22.wolfsburg just put in 6.5 mil, if we got him for 7-8 mil it would be a bargain.Go for it lawell .

    Friedrich signed for a team in the MLS i'm sure. I would take all of them, other than Zambrotta.

    We need to be looking at the South American market as well. Plenty of brilliant players with huge sell on value for cheap.

    Japan is the same. Dortmund got Kagawa for 200k for example. Helped them to 2 league titles and is now on the verge of securing a £10million move to Man Utd. Great business.

    Croatia is another place we should be looking. Vrsaljiko, Badelj and Kovacic in particular will go on to be world class players and they would have been available for next to nothing a few years ago.

    They would all be fantastic for a year and would be priceless in Europe especially away from home. Arne Friedrich. 80 odd caps for Germany. Free agent and only 32/33. Bad injuries recently though to be fair.

    Didn't know that mate. He was available on a free for about 5/6 months there after he left Wolfsburg.
    I just think we should be concentrating on signing an experienced centre back. I know it's a bit of a cliche - an experienced, commanding, quality centre back.
    But a player such as Nesta or Friedrich would be so beneficial to our relatively inexperienced team in Europe. Nesta is unrealistic but I'm sure there are others out there. The likes of Berra and Mills are not better options than what we have now if I'm honest.

    We should be sniffing around Wolves,Bolton and Blackburn. They will need to punt players. Players will also want to leave.

    Goalkeepers : Paul Robinson.

    Defence : Berra is a shout, so might people like Roger Johnson be?

    Midfield : Pedersen; Reo-Coker

    Forward : We should be looking at Kevin Davies. Absolute no brainer.
