I don't trust Gordon Strachan to make us a great side - I trust him to do his best to make us a great side and with that I will back him all that I can.

 

Ok I stand corrected from now on I will refer to DD as DD the majority shareholder and the board still the board, LoL, but I am sick of people like you apologists that back them in their handling and the lack of progress as a team, in other words as I said if anyone expects Celtic to be a great team anytime soon, forget it, it aint gonna happen!
Let me give you two wee player examples one that took seasons and the other more seasons.
Celtic are supposedly looking for a central defender in Europe right now, anyhoo firstly Douglas should have gone long before he did, and Balde for the life of me how he gets a game I will never understand, now thats what makes me sick.
And bottom line, the policies at Celtic park by the people that presently run the club, maybe finacially prudent, but by * they are negative when it comes to playing fukcing fitba!

 

One word, Leeds

 

Playing football and the style is down to the manager and nobody on the board should have an input.

Winning the SPL is worth €1.5M in prize money and TV Revenue domestically is insignificant. Champions League Group Stage is worth €4-6M in prizemoney depending on results and whatever profits on gate receipts.

The SPL revenue (Prizemoney + Gate + TV) is where Celtic lose ground to all the major clubs in Europe. It why we have a 200k wage bill instead of 500k and no money to spend on players. In comparison to EPL Champions, they get millions for winning and TV revenue is much better.

Things wont get any better in the future for Scottish Football, the divide will get bigger and there is nothing the board can do to stop it.

 

It's impossible to trust a man that plays two weak fullbacks for non footballing reasons when he's got two decent ones on the sidelines wasting the fans money and weekends having to watch a disaster of a defence every week. If he's learned from this Clyde humiliation (player selection, tactics etc) I'm willing to give him a last chance.

 

Im against the board myself, fair dous they keep Celtic ticking over etc, but when they have the cheek to come out time after time, pleading the poverty line and ask fans to put there hands in thier pockets it's too much imo, got multi millionaires and a near billionaire as a majority shareholder ,even if they gave GS the odd some of money to spend, not on an Chelsea scale, but enough to make an impact on Europe then fair enough, but they don't.

Quinn claims we can't afford to buy players etc, why does he take wages from the club? Desmond sits and tells fans to jump in a river, he can go and jump in a river the mans a disgrace to the club imo.

 

The club has to be able to stand on its own two feet, and its not doing it, that why there is cut backs. I dont rate Agathe, Camara, Wallace or Telfer as full backs, they're all bad.

 

I trused him last week when this question was last year and i think its stupid to change opinion on one match. Stick by GS he is bringing the double back to CP.

 

Trust Strachan, not the board.
