I dont think he'll change it but i agree with most of you, if he does change it, it should be Caldwell.

    Mogga's Captain !! Simple

Who would you's bhoys n ghirls like as the Celtic captain this forthcoming and future seasons.. :celt_2:

personally i'd prefer Caldwell noo but think mcmanus has struggled and let his passion ruin his play instead of using the heid since takin over. He was developing into great centre half tae but seemed to have stopped the last season or so.. :54: :54:

feel sorry fur the big man to be honest!

Although caldwell is probably my number one choice as a player, i have chosen Broonie, simply because i personally have always though its better to have your captain in midfield, makes it easier to communicate with all positions ( defence, midfield and attack)

    Why should Brown be captain?

He can't organise himself on the park let alone another 10 people.

because as i said i beleive it should be a midfielder, and the improvement shown in broonie last season tells me if he keeps it up then he will deffo deserve it, try to remember he's still a young lad as well mate.....plus i honestly wouldnt choose ANY of the rest of our midfielders....

Without a shadow of a doubt.. Caldwell i mean not so long ago he was ribbed bad.. now the steps he has taken to mature into a fine young CB has been there for all to see,i for one am very proud.

Not to mention he certainly has leadership qualities as seen many times when we have corners ect for me big mick shouts alot but makes no sense.. GC deffo. :50:

Stephen McManus doesn't come across as a natural leader. He's very quiet on the park and that's no good. The only people who can get away with that are people like Henrik Larsson who use their play to lead by example. McManus doesn't come into that category.

You can't have Scott Brown as captain at this point in time. He is still far too rash and hot headed. How can he be expected to motivate and lead by example when he can't even control his own actions? Not mature enough to be captain of Celtic yet.

I can't believe I'm going to say this(having been a fierce critic of him in the past) but, in light of the fact there are no obvious better candidates at this time, I would give the captaincy to Gary Caldwell. He is very vocal on the park and at least shows some leadership skills. I just hope he will maintain his form from last season and that it wasn't a flash in the pan. If he does that then he would be a worthy captain.

I'd be happy with Caldwell as captain.

I would be happy with Caldwell as captain, but i dont believe that it will be. I dont think he would make such a move; demoting McManus, in fear that it would instantly have the fans turn on him. I would like to see Loovens getting more of a run in the team as he looks to be both effective in defence and in the air from set pieces. Something we could miss if we lose JVOH (Although he hasn't been performing well recently).

As much as I like Big Mick he's not good enough to be a regular starter and therefore shouldn't be captain.

Brown is too rash to be captain, although much improved last season he still has a way to go.

Caldwell was our best defender last season and is vocal so I'd go for him

Personally although caldwell would be the better captain, I'd go fro Brown simply cos he's the only player who'd be guranteed a game. You do not want a repeat of the Mick situation where he played only cos he had the armband
