I was in CP with work(Army), and the first team were training, i think it was 98. Watching them from the stand. I got invited down to the dugout, and met Dr Jo, he was more interested in my work, and said he admired what we did, a very humble man ! Got a few photos of the team coming off, Brattbak, Stubbsy, Lambert, etc. Missed Henke though ! Gutted ! Stubbsy was knocking the balls up to Peter Latchford to put away near the halfway line, and one came flying towards us, i used to play a bit, and just killed the ball dead, with me combat boots on, Stubbsy said "great touch" when he came over ! Also chatted to Regi Blinker in the dugout.
Was at the Tommy Burns game , and my missus loves big Jan. He was being escorted from the car park to the entrance, and anyway my missus is trying to get a photo but can't, anyway they get him past the railings near the statues, and between the polis and the stewards, my missus gets pushed away, the big man sees this and comes back and gets my missus in front of him, and she gets her photo, TOP MAN !!!! Also had my photo with Tom Boyd and Bertie Auld that day, both nice blokes, had a chat with Paul McStay too, legend and very nice bloke !

I met Lennon after the Villareal game last season, at Glasgow Airport, I was still pretty drunk and gutted, and seen him about 100 yards up the road, so I started singing Theres only one Neil lennon, then when I got close to him shook his hand and said unlucky, we'll do it somtime Lenny, n he just laughed and said, aye mate, sometime we will, hail hail!.....

Met Lenny a few times though, and hes a quality guy, nothings really a hassle to him! He's a true gentleman and true celt! :icon_mrgreen:

It's good to hear that so many of the players past AND present are so accomodating to us fans. That few seconds we see them or talk to them probably means very little to them but it's something we'll all remember for the rest of our lives.(Well I would if I'd ever actually met any lol)
