Never met any of them unfortunately. Tried to get big pierres auto graph when i went up for my first game but couldn't get through. Saw the team get off the bus for the St mirren thrashing last season, that was a nice experience!

Ive got a hun mate who on a night out last year with some guy from work ended up spending the whole night with the entire squad. It was the Friday after they won the league up in Dundee. He says they were all really good with him as none of them knew him but they knew what he was.Lennon in particular was class he said as he spent the best part of an hour just talking football with him.The only one who acted like an * was Hartley. The big guy is a better man than me as I would be arrested in the same situation as him.

    Knock knock
    whos there

    Which players have you met?

Mostly all of them back in 07/08

    Where did you meet them?

Celtic Park or the old training ground.
What were they like in person.....were they friendly, big headed?

Most of them were sound, Jarosik was eating a pear lol

    What did you speak about?

Spoke to Strachan bout my trial and he told me to come up next monday to the training ground :p

    Were you starstruck?

Meeting Nakamura and Artur Boruc, Also when I met Paul Lambert at the barbors at my bit a few months ago around January if I remember correctly, I was like "Paul?" he was like "Yeah" I was like "What the * its Paul Lambert, McKenna (who was in the shop buying *) hurry up its Paul * Lambert lol he just smiled said alright and went into the barbours.

Used to drink with Paddy Crerand & Bertie Auld, Bertie was the best dressed guy in Glasgow and even with his Jimmy Hill chin and his patter he could get any burd he wanted.
The * used too swarm around him and all I got was the left overs.

What barbers was Lambert at in Johnstone ? And was it Liam McKenna from the castle ?

I've met most of all the first team players just now after matches etc. Also met Bertie Auld, he was a nice guy. My uncles pals with Davie Hay so I've met him a few times too, all great people.

met too many to mention and all except one were good experiences

craig beattie outside the players lounge when we beat hearts to win the league, he was injured but he had scored a few important goals at the start of the season,so i broke off my chat with another member of staff to say thanks (and for those who dont know, the corridor outside the lounge is about a meter wide,so i was simply turning around to speak to him) and well done and he said nothing and breezed past me into the lounge. I was not impressed with his distinct lack of class.

the rest of the guys were good,Tommy Burns stands out because we could disagree about things and he would still leave you with a smile . Paul Lambert is a true gent, on the flight home from jerez after the uefa cup final, despite the players being rather upset, he made good on a promise and came to see me with a match programme signed by everybody to give to my newborn son, a wonderful gesture

My brother's been out on the shot with Barry Robson. Said he was sound and a bit of a header. I was told to * off by Mo Jo when he was playing for Falkirk.

2 stories here for me which i think i should share...

first one was at a bank machine across from ridleys night club in dundalk , i spotted lenny and mcnamara. chatted briefly...said they were on a mad one...and bombed into ridleys....incidently , i heard what shenanigans they got up to later on...say no more! ( and i will say no more about that!!)

Second story relates more to my father , .. I was playing a number of years ago in a tournament in Glasgow...and my team , management and some of the players fathers (including my own) were staying in the hotel. While we were sleeping , some of the management team and all the fathers went on the beer. They went to a club and met 3 huns....hately , mccoist and durant.
Your talking staunch republicans from bandit country meeting 3 of greyskulls finest sons!...lol..(when i think about it)...but anyways they said the banter was good with the 3 smoking guns and the craic was mighty. it took along time for him to tell me though!

Thought id share that story .

Met pretty much all the big players from MO'Ns team as my mates mum ran the player's nursery and we'd just dive in after the games. Played football with Jordan Larsson and that lol.

One thing I remember is that Bobo's wee boy was quite reserved and used to wear turtle necks and colour in with the girls (despite being a monster in the making in terms of size). While Suttons two boys were mental, slide tackling left right and centre :icon_mrgreen:

Met Bobo in the street when he had just signed also. He said "C'est Bien" to me.

Eh. Shook hands with Jan in Kushion once. Saw McGeady but didn't speak to him.

Bobby Lennox after a European game. Tel Aviv or some qualifier. Met Larsson that night aswell.

Met Champage Charlie (on his second spell) aswell when I was 8-9 around 1994 I think.

Met Hartson in the Garage a few weeks ago (he was with Gough) was the end of the night and seemed a bit tired of the attention, so I shook his hand and he gave me a wee nod.

All in all, everyone seemed to be sound. Jan of all people seemed really chuffed with the attention.
