West Brom captain Paul Robinson admits he would love to follow Tony Mowbray to Celtic Park.

Would he be the man for our LB problem

This guys a decent player, but to be fair Naylor was far from the worse offender last season but it is possible he could be off and Robinson would defo be worth a punt.

Watched robinson a few times last season and to be honest i dont think he is any better than naylor. If naylor can find the form he had the season before i would be quite happy to keep him, and for all we know he could thrive under mowbay.

I'm not sure we should touch this Robinson guy. I've just been watching Setanta Sports News there and they were interviewing WBA fans about the possibilty of Robinson going to Celtic. Not one of them said they wanted him to stay! They were all like 'he's been a good player but he's getting on now' or 'he can go if he wants'. Speaks volumes when supporters talk about a player like that.

Yes, just reading similar comments on a WBA forum. Many of them saying that he should pack and they'll arrange his taxi. Although I know nothing about his ability these comments don't make me think that he's someone we should be spending money on.

I'd rather he played Darren O'Dea there if he's going down the conventional solid full back route which he would be doing if he played Robinson there who is a converted centre half.

I agree with that. Although to be honest I'd rather see Lee Wallace at left-back next season than either of them. He's a traditional Celtic style full-back. Good coming forward and with a bit of pace about him. He's not too bad defensively either. I'd like us to have a wee go at signing him.

I'm not sure that O'Dea is the key. I would prefer a more attacking full back than the irishman.

Dunno if Robinson is the solution.

Isn't Robinson a similar type of player to Naylor?

    He don't play left back.

The next coming up player for the academy as left back will be Antons Kurakins, and he's still too young.
