Im not so sure, we are after a fast pacey player to get some goals not a target man. We already have Heskey, I can't see him and Sutton complementing each other.

Out of interest how did he play with Hartson, both of them are big players. I assume Sutton is pretty slow as well??

they played ok together but sutty is prbably the most intelligent player youll ever come across he will win free kicks at vital times great in the air gets goals and sets up goals but if i was to say his best atribute it would have to be his intelligence and awareness on the pitch

Sutton is NOT a durable player, he is skillfull and clever, however he is prone to injury and over the last few seasons not just the present one he was not available through injury suspension, or family reasons.
Celtic have been relieved of an expense they dont need, and I will be very surprised if Birminghan get much milage out of him, I certainly wish him well, but its my opinion you do NOT have a good buy! :87:

BCFC, you'll be getting a fantastic player. never mind looking a fast player, you need a great player, and that's what big chris. he'll be your gain and the bhoy's loss.

he has been injured a lot recently though but, i still can't bear the thought of him leaving.:54: :55: :55:

Sutton is a fantastic player and one of the best and most consistent and Celtic for a number of years. Chris was unlucky this season to be injured so much. He got a fractured cheekbone which kept him out for about 6 weeks - that is hardly going to affect him so don't be too worried about him being out a lot this season as that cheekbone incident will not affect him long term.

In my opinion Christ Sutton will be twice the player Heskey is for you's. He is very intelligent and uses his strength well. He has had more than a few stormers down the years and has caused havoc at the likes of Juve.
Great player, great man! Best of luck Chris, although I wish he would be staying.

Can anyone explain why we have signed Roy Keane and will be getting rid of Sutton? Surely Keane has been out injured more than Sutton over the past few years! Would have been great to see them both together in the side.

Sutton's contract has 6 months to run and the right bid had come in, maybe Chris wanted to talk to other clubs aswell. Sutton isnt being offloaded
