How do you measure your own success? Do you see yourself as a successful person and why? People will have varying ways of measuring how successful they think they are and I'm quite curious as to what they are. It's not necessarily about what job you have or how much money you make although they could be factors. It could be academic success, family success or just getting through the day kind of success. What do you use as a measure of your own success?

    A ruler or a measuring tape :97:

Nah I base it purely on how content I am. Being happy and healthy means a lot more than sheets of paper or pounds, shillings and pence.

I measure my own success in terms of how good my relationships with friends and family are. Along with things I achieve academically and within work.

Edit: Hammer, you made a good point. I don't feel good if I'm unfit and unhealthy.

    great thread minty

mine is personal success , got a great job doing what i love , make enough money to help out the family and close friends , got 2 brothers and 1 sister we never had much i got a good break and luckily im still riding the gravy train :86:. got one brother working for me and the other is a partner in a london music company ( i take credit for the introduction to his partner) , sis is working in dubai just now in property managment .

the best thing is working with my brother for me . dont matter how much money we make or loss we have * fun spending time together ,

also waiting on the football village that celtic endorsed to finish then i think i can sit back and feel the success as i tee off on a sunny morning :icon_mrgreen:

I'm not a successful person . One really lazy person but the work I do seems to be enough JUST . Bare minimum passes all the way through my school years and my first year of uni ended the exact same. But when I'm happy and I base that on my wonderful girlfriends and mates so its all good :icon_mrgreen: Hopefully I get my finger out one of theses days and work hard :50:

i think you better start telling the truth pal

first of all the g101 group dont own night clubs that would be the g1 group

    2 different companys .

the guy i think you mean would be stefan king not stephan king ( i think that guy writes books) .

stefan is g1 group , you said you do work for g101 group that is his dads company george ,

and if you deal with stefan direct you must know his daughter and what she looks like .

to be honest shea i couldnt care less what you do you seemed a decent guy but you seem a bit aggressive and angry for my liking .

and you didnt tell me what clubs and pubs your family work in yet .

back to the drawing board shea :bbpd:
    so in future shea

:56:what you go out for something to eat with the guy but you dont know his company name , so whats the name of your company then , you must be doing one of his places up just now are you not .

i never said i was best pals with the guy . its normally michael , derek or leeanne i deal with ,he doesnt exactly do a days work these days but ask STEFAN what happend the day of the cis cup final after the bus left 29 .

to be honest mate i dont like to be called a liar and up to now you look to making a bit of * of your self . i would just quit while im ahead and move on to another thread

you still seem a decent guy tho :bbpd:

If i can make someone love me and be happy with whatever stage of life i'am at then that's all the success i need.

EDIT: Stop the arguing and taking this thread off topic.. pm is there for a reason.
