    Chelsea haven't had a proper manager in months, Ancelloti has been lined up for months more than likely and so has Leonardo for the Milan job.

    they have billions at there disposal and they can attract big names .

    Chelsea had him hand picked ages ago, they were just waiting on the Itallian league finishing.

    You would think Celtic would have had someone in mind though. Just seems like they are phoning clubs at random now.

    I don't think they're phoning folk randomly :56:

    Asking to speak to the manager at a club doesn't mean we want him exclusively either, there will be an selection process with a few people as there should be at a big club.

    he could walk in and say

    "i want 500k a year plus a 10million per season transfer budget"

    it's an interview process, they will ask a number of clubs if they can speak to their manager and then once they have spoken to them all, they will make an appointment.

    just because we're after talking to him, we/he might not want the job.

    I was not having a pop but it stuns me that we have actually taken so long. I think this is the same way Celtic go about player recruitment and at the end we dont do much. I know we cant compete with some EPl clubs but we are still one of the top20 clubs in the world. We have people at Celtic that can match it with some of the biggest owners in the World yet why are we so narrow in our thinking???

    How'd you work it out at ten days exactly :97: from what i recall Strachan didn't resign until the Monday which makes it exactly a week :50:

    Ancelotti was also a certainty for Chelsea they just waited on him leaving Milan

    We havent taken long its been a week thats not long i would rather they took there time interviewing managers that make a snap appointment which could back fire

    of course its gonna take us longer to attract someone to spl. i hope its taking its time because the candidate is top notch and negotiations are ongoing. i reckon if we were going for mowbray and any of the others on the original list it would be a done deal by now.....so fingers crossed we are getting a coach we deserve.
