    I think Owen Coyle just dodged a bullit, that shows he has good judgement.

    He would have left Burnley a club were he is a legend to come here and be ridiculed, he done the right thing for himself and his family.

    It's just paper talk that, there's not a quote from nobody. If Owen Coyle was approached and declined he would have came out and said so to end all speculation not "leave the door open for an improved offer" also Burnley said tonight there had been no contact and then Coyle said there had been no contact whilst Celtic denied there being any copntact. :50:

    All Coyle has said is that people "put 2 and 2 together and got 5" and that he goes on holiday this weekend and will do so as Burnley manager.

    If he was sure that he wasn't leaving Burnley he would have said "Celtic offered me the job, I turned it down and I will be managing Burnley next season". Just like Mourinho would say if we asked him.

    If Owen Coyle isn't ready for Celtic yet, how can Bilic be? Coyle knows the SP inside out, has managed successfully at club level......While Bilic has done neither. Bilic is on record as saying he wants to manage in the EP. IF he came to Celtic and IF he had any kind of success he would be head hunted by an EP club and be off like a shot.....Making us look stupid in the process. Out of all those tipped to manage us Bilic is the LAST guy i want to see as our manager.

    I've not read anywhere that he has actually been offered the Celtic job, so how can he reject something he hasn't even been offered?

    His quote "There has been no approach to Burnley Football Club. People have put two and two together and come up with five so far as Celtic are concerned. I am going on holiday with my family this weekend and I can assure you I’ll be doing so as Burnley manager.”

    In order to appoint a manager who is currently under contract you must seek permission from his club to make an approach. If Celtic haven't approached Burnley then how can they offer their manager the job? All the comment from Coyle suggests is that he is going on holiday on Saturday and as this is now Thursday and there has been no approach to Burnley from Celtic, there is no chance it will happen before the weekend.
