I agree with what you are saying but obviously the fans are going to take an interest in who is going to be in charge of the club they support. And we as fans have the right to have an opinion in the matter.

Of course we do, my point was aimed at those that were saying they wouldn't go back if Coyle or McGhee etc were appointed.

We all have our opinions on who should be in charge, but when the announcement is made we should all get behind him whether it was our preferred choice or not

The more I think about it, the more I would like to see Bilic get the position.

We need new blood, new direction. As good as Coyle has done with Burnley, we're still going to end up with a lower prem/top championship manager. That doesn't take us forward.

Let's get someone that has a broader brush that can get us great finds from eastern europe (but maintains ties to the UK and it's talent pool).

How can you not like someone who F**ked England at Wembley????

Bring on Win Jansen part 2!

I'd be happy with Mowbray, Coyle or Bilic they all have positives and negatives and all will come with a bit of risk attached but I'd be satisfied with any of them. Obviously I'd prefer a world class manager with experience but seen as that is beyond the relms of reality any of those three would be able to do the job imo.

D'oh! I read the question wrong and voted Bilic =)

I want Bilic but reckon the biscuit tin is weilded shut and burried under a ton of steel, wrapped in barbed wire n chicken wire, surrounded by a sea of acid (not the gOOd kind) somwhere on Mars.

I think the board if they can't get Coyle will go for Mowbray

I agree with what you are saying but do you really believe that the board are going to appoint Bilic?

I fear that the board will treat the club like they are a top English Championship club, but I hope that they will treat the club like a potential player on the European stage.

I'd honestly rather take a chance on Bilic and fail, then go with Coyle and maintain the trend that the Strachan era brought to Celtic Park.

We must not let them appoint anyone else but Bilić. So that they be forced to let cash be spent.

If you don't think the board will go for him why did you vote for him in the poll?

Is anyone else worn out with all this voting on polls? Jeezo!! :56:

I'm not voting on this one because to be perfectly honest I haven't got a clue who the board are going to plump for. My best guess would be it will be one of the following:

    Alan Curbishley
    Owen Coyle
    Tony Mowbray

But I couldn't even say that with any great degree of certainty.

Coyle is out, he has basically declared that by saying he is ready for the challenge of the premiership. It is really between these three and the only two I can see the board looking at are Mowbray and McGee.

Of course Coyle is going to publically say that he is staying. It's less than 48 hours since he was taking part in a massive open top bus parade around Burnley in front of all their fans. He'd look a bit of a * if he came out straight after that and said he wanted the Celtic job would he not? What is going on behind the scenes might be entirely different. Personally I think Coyle would find it near impossible to turn down the Celtic job IF he was offered it.

haha never thought about that. I would like Coyle would be a decent manager and for those fans who need a celtic minded man, he's that too. Fits the bill. But could anyone tell me anything about the style of football he plays, is it better than Mowbray's?

Its different yes, Coyle like his teams to play more direct than Mowbray. Tony is all about attacking football whereas Coyle is more long ball, knock it down, pass to skippy and score. But he's * good at it.
