That Traynor said in the paper today that there is no possibility of signing him as he has turned down werder bremen. He says Levein and Mowbray are top of the list. Disgrace if true.

 

If people are critical of Strachan and now want an untried club manager, they need their head examined. For me he is no better than Roy Keane and he's not tested to a degree where he would be a good candidate for the Celtic job and neither is Bilic.

 

Its generally regarded he is one of the brightest managerial prospects in the world. Yes he hasnt been tested, but many top clubs would take him as manager. If you are looking to take this club forward I think we need to take a chance on someone like him. I'm am not convinced any other candidate would create the same buzz around parkhead. I'm fed up of seeing average championship players trying to play the celtic way.

 

Roy Keane, Marco van Basten & Jurgen Klinsmann were regarded that way too, but look at them now...

They were all out of their depth at club level given their clubs objectives.

Transfer Policy isnt going to change, maybe tweaked given Lawwell's mistakes during the summer and january last but he'll be subjected to almost the same restrictions as Strachan

 

I think with Croatia its clear to see he gets the best out of a reasonably good squad. Topped a group, beating England twice and outperforming a good Russia team managed by Hiddink. Won 3 out of 3 in their Euro group.

He has shown better qualities than the 3 you mention.

One of GS's problems was that European players couldnt be persuaded to come to the SPL. Not solely down to money. With Bilic's contacts I think we could see a better class of player coming in.

And he's a grafter, he wants to succeed and I think that will rub off on the players.

None of the managers we are linked with have the top level experience. None of them have ever been in Europe. They are all middle of the road, bland, same old same old...not Celtic class!

 

Maybe you should look at Klinsmanns record before making wide sweeping statements

 

Klinsmann was poor up until the world cup.

Then with home advantage he took a team full of world class players to the final. Going through an easy group, then beating sweden, argentina aet and italy.

Wow, you could say he got through 2 tough games. Thats an awesome record.

Bilic has said "Im your man" to Sunderland...according to the Daily Star today. Even if he doesn't take over at the Stadium of Light he ain't coming here. No chance whatsoever.

I do apologise, he failed to beat Italy, so he had 1 result worth noting. They were tagged the worst team in their history because he had been so bad up until then.

Anyway, getting away from the point.

The majority here want Bilic, would be nice if they listened to the fans for once.
