Maybe a wee run in the UEFA cup wouldn't be so bad.

how does it work anyway, say we dont qualify for CL if we lose do we get into Europa Cup then?

If so it wont be all bad, we could get further in europa cup than we would of in CL, look at the positives, the board will know they need to spend now

This present team do not have the backbone, the self belief or the leadership to do well in the CL.

We go on the park looking like a beaten team at times and at others we look afraid of trying to score. Our game is so predictable every single SPL team has us down to a T vefore we've even walked on the park. They know how to play against us and know we'll try and walk the ball in, retreat, then resort to humping long balls up from RB or LB. We've became nothing short of a joke in the SPL and although I hold the board culpable for showing a complete unwillingness to spend money, I hold Strachan far more culpable for his lack of ability to use the tools he had at his disposal.

 

I just heard on SkySports that for next season there will be FOUR rounds of qualifying, we go into round two. Sorry to say but if this squad cant score against Hibs and Hearts in two potentially Championship winning matches I dont fancy our chances going through three rounds of qualifying. Especially when we could meet teams like AC Milan, Arsenal and similar in the fourth round.

 

If we get knocked out at the 2nd round stage, do we qualify for the UEFA cup?

 

Current team cant beat Hearts youth team so what chance against a top European team ?

 

Hope so, but need major work done on the team over the summer, would rather be in this new uefa cup thing to be honest, more chance of winning it, but its the money in the CL thats appealing

Our improvement in terms of squad and finance is in danger of stalling if we don't qualify so i hope we do. Some major decisions at board level need to be made regarding how we are going to do this.

 

nope total pish with no heart or back bone luck to be third next year unless strachan goes iv,e baccked him until today cannot motivate that team

We cant beat spl teams away from home (circa: Huns, Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, Inverness, Motherwell and Dunde United in 2009) so how do we expect to trouble european teams?

Qualifying is harder then ever.

Nah mate, it's 2 rounds of qualifying. We shouldn't even have to talk about qualifying, if that ginger * had any ability we would be celebrating a league win right now.

 

optimistic there. with this squad we have no chance against any of those sides.

i hate repeating myself but, this is a shockingly bad celtic side. i honestly don't see how they could even be considered better than tommy burns' sides.
