Spain should win the next World Cup, the next EURO's and the World Cup after that again. They win everything at under 16, under 17 and under 19 level too and have done for about 6 years so they have the best Senior team and best Youth teams.

Casillas, Reina, Ramos, Pique, Puyol, Albiol, Marchena, Capdevilla, Iniesta, Xavi, Senna, Fabregas, Alonso, Busquets, Raul Garcia, Silva, Capel, Navas, Cazorla, Mata, Villa, Torres, Bojan  * frightening.

Then they have that boy Camacho coming through at Atletico, the boy Michel at Valencia, Martinez at Bilbao and that boy getting about the Barcelona first team at 17 Muniesa must be something special too.

Puyol for next season, except any sold out, its not gonna be in the starting eleven.
You forgot that barça didnt have Alves, Abidal and Marquez, 2.5 out of 4 starting defence, and Henry really bad fit.
What did Barça was wonderfull, with less money than premier teams, i have no words

Barcelona were simply the better team. Their make-shift defence stood up well and keeping a clean-sheet against a strike force that included, for however long, Berbatov, Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo tells you everything you need to know. They were patient in the build up and their passing was mezmerizing, I couldn't take my eyes off the screen - even in very compact amounts of space the one-touch passing was enough to convince me that the Barca squad is telepathic. Every player could pass like that, from Sylvinho and Puyol to Iniesta and Xavi (The two best passers in world football IMO).

They all could run with the ball too. I can remember a couple of occasions when Iniesta or Messi had the ball they were closed down by three or four Man Utd players and the ball (And often the diminutive Messi) would disappear from view, only to somehow reappear with the ball :39:

They were simply magnificent. People talk about the Barca Dream Team, about Dutch Total Football and the samba of South America. I guarentee than in years to come this Barca team will be mentioned in the same category as the best teams to have played the game.

The phrase "the beautiful game" has never been so appropriate as it was last night.

the so called ultra best league failed. two teams couldn't beat Barca :icon_mrgreen:

I hope we will hear less of that "the epl is the best and no one comes close" bollox for a while. from the past 10 winners only 2 come from england.

great year for football and also a great year for barcelona.

A masterclass. Total football and even though I don't like them, they were a joy to watch. Messi, Xavi, and Iniesta seem like its a training session they make it that easy.

Thought Ronaldo tried his best, maybe too hard and that Ferguson made a mistake starting Anderson.

On a side note I'm suprised Park never broke his neck with the way he landed after colliding with the goalie, ouch!
