Yeah mate got total respect for what gordon has done, but i do feel its time for a change win or lose the league.

All am saying is we can look further than scotland or england for a new manager. my choice would have been louis van Gaal for what he has done at AZ in holland but he is away to germany.

When the Celtic job becomes avalible managers from all over the world are intrested, and all am saying is we should take that on board.

I think Strachan will leave at the end of this season. He has done a great job for us and I will always think of him as a good manager.

I have always benn behind him 100% but this season has changed my mind. Now he may not have been given the resources that others have had but there have been too many things that I feel he has lost me this season. This is not a knee * rteaction.Even if we win 4 in a row I think his time is up.

His heart is not in it anymore imo and I think he will leave.

    Time for a change.

Levein,Lambert,Lennon, larsson or anyone else whos name begins with an L

Thanks Gordon and good luck in the future.

What do you base your assumption on that he would make a good Celtic manager? He bombed at Bayern and it's widly accepted that his assistant, Joachim Lowe done most of the work with the German national side and still does.

I'd much rather have Martin Jol than Klingsman. In fact I'd rather have Allardyce than Klingsman and I detest Sam's style of football and management, so that'll give you an idea of how highly I rate Klingsman as a coach!

I think we should look at all options for the next manager but I think there should be four main points that the guy should have:

    1. Beable to work within a budget.

    2. Great man manager and motivator.

    3. His teams are known for entertaining football.

    4. Ability to spot talent.

It doesn't matter where there from but as long as they keep the club out of massive debt, can motivate players that are already at the club who do not leave when he arrives and he sets his teams up to play good football while not neglecting the defense. Also can pick a decent player who isn't costing 6 million.

Someone with these qualities would be ideal IMO.

I think only the A-listers would be able to do a better job than Strachan. (Well maybe Moyes but the chances of him coming is pretty much nil.)

    * Levein/Mowbray/Collins and the like.

Theres a big world outthere m8 there has to be someone who can do the job better. I don't buy it, that Strachan is the only guy who can do a good job. Look at what Csaba Laszlo has done at hearts and he came from somewhere in Africa!!

Why would you want someone who is unproven and has no track record over a manager who is a proven title winner, has CL experience and knows the workings of the Scottish game?

IF wgs was to go, it would have to be someone with the same experience strachan has, and I dont see them queing up tbh.

So you reckon that only an A-list manager could beat that shower of * across the city, Watty is hardly a tactical genius and the majority of time he gets the better of wgs.

I think nearly everyone would except we have a better squad than the huns so its not like your asking someone to come in and perform a miracle, wgs is an average manager who came up against the weakest huns team in decades, he * it up this year, and was extremely lucky last year,

Hearts seem to be the richest club outside the Old Firm so surely a decent manager should be taking them to third - Burley for example.

Of course there will be another Wim Jansen out there but for every Wim theres 300 John Barnes. That's why I'd only be comfortable with an A-lister.

As much as I hate the huns "the weakest hun team in decades" just doesn't sit right with me considering they are by European terms the most successful Rangers team in decades....

I fail to see why one bad year in the CL means that we shouldn't be aiming for a coach to re-establish that record we had, that's a very defeatists attitude your taking there mate.

    That's IF wgs walks away.

I know it's defeatest but just look at the quality we have compared to anyone else in there, we rely on pride and passion to get us through games in the champions league not quality.
We go away from home and we cant string 2 passes together

It's a product of the environment we play in, just the same as the diddy Scottish teams who come to play us, they play above their station, they try harder, run longer and put more effort in to compensate for the gulf in quality, exactly what we do in Europe mate.

You want to try watching European games in the eighties when we were regularly dumped out at the first hurdle and success was beating some backwater team from the middle of nowhere.

What's your point? If your happy giving away a 7 point lead and watching the poorest football for years then good for you!!

How are we realistically going to improve as a team if we don't even try to get a top manager?
Yeah, we'd have to spend money but you only get what you pay for.
We're not exactly poverty-stricken either - we can afford to go for a top guy if we want to.
A guy like Mobray roule definitely come in and improve the standard of football we play (which wouldn't be hard) but I'd like us to aim a little higher.

Depends on what you would class as a top guy, the real top guys are well outside our budget.
