There are a few donetsk players who could walk into our first team including Rat and Srna along with the likes of Isildinho but the club's administration refuses to let them go. Its a bit weird really b/c their Brazilians especially see the club as a stepping stone, but then are not allowed out of their contracts (which is fair enough I guess, players often treat their side of contractual obligations as optional)

    Who we need next season

we need to get a hold on a couple of decent players u twats. Screw ur league 1 players, go for the EPL. Im thinking Cristiano Ronaldo for around $134million and another good choice would be Lionel Messi for around the same price and i reckon we shouild go pretty good next season

Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but Severin on a free would be a decent signing, proved he can play centre half or mid.
I've always liked Jonathon Greening of West Brom, classy midfielder, maybe 30 but would be worth a punt and i recon would be keen as mustard.

    Few more names,

    Andrew Driver
    Winger
    Hearts

He can play on either side and now naka is gone hed do well in a 433 and a 442, he has got some pace good dribbler of the ball, someone mowbray would like i reckon youd play a front 3 of

    Mcgeady Mcdonald Driver/Maloney or a 442
if we can get him for 2 mill or less hed be worth it

cant see us going for cech now we have mowbray, since he didnt get in the team with him in charge of west brom, id take that xabi castillo for 200,000 or something good bit of business there

I'd take Julio Arca from boro. Can play anywhere on the left or in the centre of midfield. Would give us a bit of bite as well.

    Leroy Lita on a free.

    Andy Dorman

Darius Vassell????? Would ba a gamble tho

Looking at our squad, i think 4 players would help give us the beginnings of a good team. More of a refresh than a revolution. Personally I think we need a left back (shock I know), a central midfielder, an attacking midfielder/winger/forward and a striker.

I still haven't heard of any serious candidates for the left back slot, they seem to be rare. Arca from Boro is a good player, but i think he's played forward a lot more often and might have lost it in defence. Wouldn't go for Robinson, and don't know enough about the serb kid or Castillo. I want to see a player that'll cross and tackle, see if Tosh feels up to it.

In central I want to see a guy with passing ability and creativity. Borwn gives us drive and grit, Crosas could give us a bit of poise and flow, but i want to see that dude that can make things happen, spot a pass etc. So far names in the hat include: Valero (probably just tabloids) a good player, maybe a bit light but does have some pedigree, and McCarthy has been a link to us forever, but I wonder if he'd become a beter player if he stayed put for a bit in a team where he has room to mature.

As for a striker, with Fortune all but gone, our only other forward link comes from Fletcher. I don't know enough about him to judge. Summing up what I have read and heard, he looks to be a talented guy, but many have concerns over his goal-scoring prowess. With Jan going, it leaves a gap for a powerful stricker to come in. Sammy just isn't that kind of player, then again Killen could step up. Under Mowbray he had a great season and for the 6 months he was fit he banged them in. With that, it might be possible to sign Fletcher as a fairly quick guy with good feet. Him combined with McDonalds ball retention and penalty box scoring, Sammy's 'soft feet' and Killen aerial ability, I suppose we'd have balance.

Last but not least, the attacking mid/winger/forward whatever, I basically mean a kind of Naka replacement, but someone maybe more direct. Arango looks like he would be a really good player to bring in. Again it just seems tabloid speak so I'm not getting too carried away, but I like his style and it seems he would be an exciting player to watch. Sharbini has also been mentioned but i think he's a little down the line from Arango talent wise.

Combination of those four positions and I'd feel we were getting somewhere. Goalkeeper wise, we have 4! so I expect to see Brown and possible Boruc move along. It all depends on Zaluska. I love Artur, but hten again his gaffs last season cost us points and we lost the league by a narrow margin so he needs to prove himself again and just get his head down.

Defence wise, I'm relatively happy, just sort out the left back.

Here's hoping we make some transfer progress.

I think Fernando Morientes is currently without a club - I'd definitely take him, especially if we're going to buy two strikers.

Hmmm... Wages would be the problem. And he would be here for only 2 years, 4 years max.

We should take james mccarthy for the future as this boys gona be big. I know we wouldn't have the spending power, but it would be amazing if we could spend big on Dean Ashton. The guys big strong and powerful, lots of pace, good finisher. Although he seems injury prone that may give us the oppertunity to sign him and do what Blackburn did with Santa Cruz.

Does anyone think Giovani Dos Santos could be our missing link? hes only rated at £4mill, and he was a top prospect for Barca until he got too big for his boots. I would love to sign him up and I dont think its beyond the realms of possibility.

I hae no idea on left back, leave that one to the scouts.

How about 19 year old Armand Traore to fill our LB slot as a long term solution?

Looked solid when I've seen him in the premiership, 17 appearances for Pompey last year, great going forward and can play left wing. Imagine in the future having him and Caddis bombing down the flanks!

I would definately take Driver. Seen the performance he put in for the England U-21's against Germany U-21's and the panel were singing his praises at the end of the game. We would need to move for him quickly though as i suspect a few managers will have noticed him.
