Very modest of him.

He hasn't put a foot wrong since joining us. One of, if not our most consistent player this season.

 

Big Turbo is a Class Act thank * we have him a World Class goalkeeper at last. Now all we have to do is buy a good centre half and two good full backs and get all the Dead Wood to * this January.

Any full-backs in mind?

 

Ben Thatcher and Luke Young they've been class get them here, Ian Harte maybe but doubt he'd be any better than Camara now.

 

Luke Young is captain of Charlton and so I can't see Curbishly letting him go cheaply. Thatcher won't come cheap either. Ian Harte is also doubtful because of the need of a fee.

McNaughton is expected to sign a pre-contract agreement in January as he is out of contract in the Summer. Caldwell and Riordian's contracts also run out next Summer and so GS might make a move for them too. I honestly can't see to much cash getting splashed about in January.

 

Murphy we need to imply major surgery to this defence of ours and we must get away from this scared to spend mentality and always looking for free transfers all the time cause we'll just end up with more average * this way, if it takes 6 or 7 Million to get the right defenders in we should do it now in time for The champion's league next Autumn or we'll end up embarressed again, and also lets get all the deadwood that never play for us anymore off the wage bill that'll help us a bit financialy.

 

Boruc is very modest. Nowadays even when the defence has a howler we all know that Boruc will react quick and desicively . Great player.

 

I fully agree but we shouldn't spend money we don't have.

 

Boruc is our most consistent player, IMO Petrov would be a close second and Harston surprisingly 3rd because he has gotten the goals regardless of performance

Realistically, McNaughton is a good option for free, Mark Wilson, Paul Konchesky, Stephen Kelly could be good Celtic players aswell

Deadwood: Varga & Thompson. I think they should be gone by January.

Pearson will get more opportunities if Thompson is sold. Du Wei & Virgo will get games because Balde is going to the African Nations and McManus is one card away from suspension.

Murphy Desmond and Quinn want us to believe they are struggling financialy so they can continue to Shortchange us at least half of that 15 Million should be used to sort our defence out this January as it was us who raised it and the bottom line is if we don't sign at least 2 good defenders we'll get embarrassed and exposed in the Champion's League next Autumn and if they leave it till next summer to do it it might be too late and also we all know the danger of approaching important games with an ungelled defence look at The Artmedia game..

It's fair to say i haven't been DD's biggest supporter in the past but the fact is, we have been losing money every year for a good while now. I don't want to spend money we don't have.

I would agree with you about the defence though, I believe our two wing backs are the weak links.

 

They aren't personally but the club is. Do you remember how the club was 30 minutes from bankruptcy? We aren't really out of that yet.

If Desmond puts in a huge amount of money into the club i think he'll trigger a automatic takeover bid which he doesnt want nor does the club.

 

must admit i wasn't to sure when he signed, coz i never heard of him!
but he is a top quality keeper and deserves all the respect he is getting
