The people that know me, know that I did not like the idea of Keane joining Celtic.

But now that he did sign an 18-month contract, all I can say is "Keane Welcome to the Celtic family and good luck", I sincerely hope I was wrong all along, and I sincerely wish for him to make a good impact on the field and not a bad one on the changing room.

I wish to remember everyone the hard work Petrov gave for this club, and I surely hope that even though we have a new good player on the midfield, Strachan finds a way of happily playing both, and Petrov and Keane get to know each other making a lethal midfield. In my opinion should a problem arise here, Petrov will always have my support.

Hopefully with this new addition to the squad, we can be thinking of a green treble and success, and we will hopefully have hoopy days on the near future.

Keane has yet to convince me, but I might as well give him a chance.

Very much agree with every concern you show here. I think it could turn into the biggest signing mistake since the Bhoy Rafael. Hope not though!!!

Dont talk nonsense.Keane has proven himself at the highest level wheras rafael was signed due to barnes ineptitude. To even compare the two is an insult and shows that you clearly know nothing about football.

a think comparing tht "barnes signing" to the signing of Keane is a bit harsh lol and if hes not provan himself to u yet a doubt he ever will considering his age and the height in the game hes already acomplished with Man Utd!

    Rafa who?? :56:

I understand, that is a rather odd comparison, what I really mean is that Keane will either bring Celtic a step forward, or bring us a step down.

The step down could be upsetting the dressing room and the mood at Celtic park, or without upsetting our squad, he could bring trouble to Celtic specially with this biased federation and media

And the step up would be bringing lots of ambition and quality into the squad, and as it was said on Celtic TV last night, other players will also play their best to prove a point to Keane, which will mean that our squad will all be improved, Keane is also a good leader, and would help people round him.

To be honest the more I think about it, the less worries I have, and hopefully he will bring something to the club making us go that step forward.

There is another point which was half proved yesterday, and this point is Keane being a Celtic supporter, cutting his wages down to £45k just to play for the team he loves (Even though he is still the highest paid player in the History of Celtic) means a lot to me.

Honestly I liked every bit of his interview on Celtic TV yesterday, and if he is really a supporter he will understand the importance of keeping cool and just getting on with the business.

I never doubted Kean as a player, is just the fact that he is a hot-head, which could bring trouble to Celtic, specially in Scotland with this federation and media, and we all know it.

As I said, hopefully he will keep his cool and do the business.

Now all I need for this Christmas to be the best is Petrov to sign a lengthy extension to his current contract.

    Hail! Hail!

By the way, thank you a lot Messiah nice to hear that :shamrock::celt_2:
